This is what started it all!

I think I got this affliction naturally. My wife, Beck, was digging through old stuff today and found this.

This is an article posted about my dad in the local newspaper in
Aug., 1972. My dad built the first speaker, based on Klipsch plans,
somewhere around 1962 when I was about 10 yrs. old. I remember so well him building the speakers and several Heathkit and Fisher tube amp kits.

I grew up listening to them and was doomed to never being
satisfied with less. He is now 86 and still has both speakers plus all
his LPs.

My dad was a chemical engineer, inventor, photographer and music nut!...
sorta like me LOL, except I went the mechanical vs. chemical route. We still talk about Klipsch, tube amps and Jazz regularly.

That's a great article Marion and I wonder if your Dad had any idea that what he started you would then take to the levels you have...Big Smile

Nice to share this reflection back in time with you. Sounds like one of those bonding moments between sons and fathers that you don't recognize until many years later. With me it was HO train sets with which my Dad helped me. Or, more precise, he allowed me to help him.

Images and memories I still carry to this day.
