I've seen a few scenes online and it looks beautiful, but the story seems very... dumb. Ya... I'd say it is not at same caliber as the ones prior. Wait for it to be on Netflix or something. : )
Bubo 357 Posted January 1 Better than expected, not sure what the message of the film was. I was expecting the usual "everything is hopeless" and didn't get it thankfully. Would be good on the big screen, wide panoramic shots, and might have had the feel of a real WW1 bayonet charge in the theater.

Schu 5011 Posted January 10 new re-release... a Fantastic John Frankenheimer film. Burt Lancaster doing his own stunts... including stunts when he was suffering with a broken leg, priceless.
Bubo 357 Posted January 17 CQ An Art Movie about making an Art Movie while making a 1960s French SciFi movie. "The film is an homage to 1960s European spy/sci-fi spoofs like 1968's Barbarella and Danger: Diabolik" I cheated and watched on-line.

Lots of the personality stereo types, which are part of French Cinema First season they are carried away with the gross crime scenes FX, dial it back a bit in later episodes Enough seasons to get you to March if you keep it to one a day. Spiral (French: Engrenages, pronounced [ɑ̃ɡʁəˈnaʒ]) is a French television police procedural and legal drama series following the work and the private lives of Paris police officers and lawyers and judges at the Palais de Justice, Paris. It was created by Alexandra Clert for the TV production company Son et Lumière. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0477507/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

I just recently saw this movie and what blew my mind is how the cinematographer captured the movie. Being photographer myself, the way the perspective of how it was film was outstanding .....

Bubo 357 Posted February 19 TENET Better than expected High quality video and sound production Action movie, UKs best effort (need to check credits) Bourne series definitely raised the bar for all that follow Some excellent big screen shots in the Med. My 5.1 was pumping away on the exciting parts I applaud them for taking a risk on a hard to follow story line Not many would take the risk

Bubo 357 Posted February 19 2 hours ago, Schu said: I had no desire to watch this Nolan... is it worth a look? Short answer, yes take a look. I paid zero to borrow it from the library. 1-10 I give it a 6-7 for what they got right and taking on a difficult plot to follow Usual tropes Having spent a lot of time there, I would say the movie was made for Euros... 2.5 hours in the evening, why not when it's 4 degrees outside. I hit the eject button on plenty of stuff after 15 minutes, I don't bother listing them here. Perhaps we should start a movie bashing thread..... If someone does a UFO movie with all the different types of aliens, I would cast the Femme Fatal as the Nordic Type Alien Princess, I'd have to dress her in emergency blanket made reflective material too skinny for high gloss yellow or red plastic clothing, for that you need a baby Raquel Welch look alike.
