Guest BobG
Most Klipsch speakers are made in Hope, Arkansas USA. Some, including ProMedia, architectural, Quintet are made to our design and specification in Asia to allow us to provide the quality/price ratio needed in the categories. We source parts from all over the world for the same reason. All Klipsch products have clear markings on their cartons referencing point of manufacture. Guess you can't trust the "miss information highway" who is Miss Information? I would like to meet her. Actually, there is a Miss Information. She was on a Warner Bros. Cartoon where these stereotypical characters told history of the world in a funny fashion. What was the name of the show?! Mighty Favog
Justin- Are you thinking of "School House Rock" from ABC Television in the 70's? Oooppsss! tripod
Not positive, but I believe the show was Animaniacs. She was a sort of tour guide through history, right? They had some excellent jokes on that show, way over most kid's heads.
kenratboy
School House Rock is awsome! I liked Bob's way of stating that some Klipsch stuff was made overseas, he could do a press conference easy! ------------------ Receiver: Sony STR-DE675 CD player: Sony CDP-CX300 Turntable: Technics SL-J3 with Audio-Technica TR485U Speakers: JBL HLS-610 Subwoofer: JBL 4648A-8 Sub amp: Parts Express 180 watt Center/surrounds: Teac 3-way bookshelfs Yes, it sucks, but better to come. I am looking at the Klipsch HD 300 Compact 5.1 High Definition Theater System Are these made in Hope also? BTW, one of my best friends worked for Klipsch in Hope when he first graduated from OSU (he now lives in Missouri). I want to buy US made products whenever I can; I don't want to have to learn chinese or Spanish to survive.
JJkizak
You can tell right away if the speakers were made overseas---they have an accent during the vocals. (Please, this is light humor) JJK
philwarner
You can tell right away if the speakers were made overseas---they have an accent during the vocals. (Please, this is light humor) JJK You mean a "press 1 for English" shows up on the AV remote if the speakers were made off shore? I figured I would know they were if they failed in the first week like the Chinese generator I tried to use when the power went out last winter, but I'd like to avoid that with new speakers. Tell us, Paul, are they made in Hope? (And I don't mean the kind of false Hope in the Hopey Changey campaign; I mean Hope Arkansas down the road.) The HDT-300 has some good reviews and is currrently discounted in my social security price range, but I was still hoping to buy USA.
