JasN00b
well i've never really head a klipsch speaker other than my promedia 2.1s but i was at my friends house watching matrix, and he has some original hersey speakers, they sit flat, i dont know if thats the only difference between those and the newer ones buuuuuut normally he controls the volume, but this time i got the remote. over the course of the movie i slowly raised the volume to get a sense of the dynamic range, and how they sounded at different lvls. no matter how quiet they still seemed to fill the rather large room. and at loud volumes, they were full and alive sounding, with shimmering highs. at the subway scene, when the train squeaked in, it sounded completely crisp and REAL. have that for the highs, i also noted the full and powerful lows of the speaker. explosions were felt at the higher volume, and i felt surrounded by sound, even though it was simply a 2.0 system with a medocre amp. being a musician, i have a good ear when it comes to dynamics and frequencies, and i have to say i heard more come out of those speakers than i did in the theater. how much do herseys go for? ------------------ --------------------- I. Audible Nectar
Heresys new (Heresy II) sell for $1098 per pair. There's lots of used Heresys on ebay and other places, for 350/pair and up. If you think the Heresys are good, try Cornwalls, LaScalas, Belles, and Khorns (oh my)! Fortes, Chorus, and Quartets are also similar in dynamics and tone. You should hear them if possible. These speakers are why I love Klipsch This message has been edited by dndphishin on 06-15-2002 at 10:44 PM

TheEAR
Hmm my first Klipsch experience was like opening a giant can O whoop a$$ on my eardrums! Klipsch tears the eardrums to shreds at high levels, just finished listening to some heavy metal on my dual(front and back)RF-7 system. Power to behold with not a strain to be heard.Plus I have my trusty ATI2505 and 1505to power my Klipsch HT system. SCOOTERDOG
AAHHH, The sweet sound of a true American Heritage. I too had the same experience, except they were La Scala's. First and foremost I must say you have now been spoiled! Go out and buy yourself some Heresy's. Better yet look for a pair of La'Scala's Belle's, or Khorns to really satisfy your craving for true fidelity. But always remember that first time you heard them. Like the first real kiss you ever had. The feeling never really leaves you. Soundthought
SO TRUE. From the first time i heard them I was hooked. Big time. I was ten years old. Sitting at my moms' friends house. Listening to some Eagles albums through a set of Khorns. Been a klipsch nut ever since. It's something about them... Something so sweet words can't describe. My motto is: "Once you go klipsch, you'll never go back"

My parents fixed it for $100. So ~$1000 of crap that I bought on my own. Sure, I don't have a job now (I quit on my own will) nor do I have more than $50 in my name, but I have a home theater in my own room This message has been edited by Hipnotic_Tranz on 06-19-2002 at 02:57 PM

JHoff80
Yeah i'm also 17, and i currently have a system of: 2 KLF20s KLFC7 2 KSP-S6s Sony STR-DE935 receiver 2 SVS 16-46CS+ Samson S1000 Panasonic DVD-RA60 Older minidisc player, older vcr sony 300 disc megachanger older tv i think what you really have to do is build piece by piece. For example, i got the cd changer, the dvd player, the receiver, and the KLF20s first.. its taken me about 2-3 years to get all this stuff, but its worth waiting for. Now if i only had enough money for...
