Huge special thanks to tasdom for all his help. Just bought this amp and I'm very excited to see how it compares to the emo when it gets here. Tasdom was so cool to audition the amp for me and is sending it out to me. How many guys will go out of there way for someone they barley know like that (first class guy for sure). Pics and review to come!

I have always heard great things about B&K and I'm sure willland owns stock in them [:P]

Looks like they are selling between $1200 and $1600. Based on price point alone, it appears to be in a higher price point than the Rotel you were considering. Althought higher price doesn't always mean higher quality, my guess is this amp will be a rock solid performer.

Curious on what you find when you are able to compare it to the Emotiva.

Congrats to you and to Tasdom for being such a kind gentleman.

Ryan, you are in for such a sweet treat! After your deal fell thru and I brought this amp to your attention, I'm so stoked for you getting this "minty" 7 channel gem! Not to mention the matching B & K Ref-20 pre amp as a bonus.

The seller brought it to my home and allowed me to go thru it thoroughly as well as connect it to my system. I'm not gonna post my thoughts here as that will be your right when you give us your thoughts and comments.

Happy to help brutha......karma is a good thing and enthusiasm is contageous

Funny you say that Michael. I was considering the amp several weeks ago and talked to Bill thu PM's. I was close to buying it but the OPPO took presidence on my list. I've been dreaming that it was in my living room. Now it is but tomorrow it won't be. [:'(]

I have had the same amp for about 8 years. It really is a great one. I will say that I tried many different RCA interconnects and several different AVR's/Processors including a B&K ref 50, Onkyo receivers, Onkyo pre/pro and pioneer receivers and just could not get the annoying hum to go away. It was present in (4) different houses, on dedicated circuits, close to the panel, far from the panel, every conceivable option. Then just a couple of weeks ago I decided to buy some XLR cables. The hum TOTALLY disappeared. I don't know why I waited so long to try it.

Also, if your heat goes out at your house this amp makes a wonderful space heater. Make sure it is well ventilated. It really puts out some heat.

I will never part with mine. You will enjoy for sure.

What a stand-up guy Tasdom is. B&K and Klipsch are practically meant for each other. Your already amazing system is going to kick it into high gear. Photos please lol. and +1 to the space heater. Reference I have an extra (1) .5 meter Audioquest Quartz Interconnect that id send you for free if you need one. Wish I had 2 to send you to try but I only have 1 left over. I tried a few interconnects and actually preferred the Audioquests older line to their newer ones. Let me know if you could use the interconnect and Ill ship it to you man.

Well people are going to be back and forth like crazy on this. With the amount of money you spent on gear for your setup. Id at leat put some decent RCAs on the EMO+B+K. mine werent too expensive about 150 a pair since they are the older line but you can get cheaper ones than that that are decent. I wouldnt put 87 octane fuel in my fiances Porsche lol. You have some top tier audio gear id get some nice interconnects which to me make more of a difference in quality than any of the other cables. Im going all Audioquest Anaconda XLR cables once I switch to a Anthem Preamp. I have absolutely no Hum from my sub amps or Anthem amps right now. I know that I used to have a hum with my Monster Sub cables but when I switched to the Audioquest Sub3 cables both cables are Y split custom from Audioquest and have the tail connected to the ground on the amps. 0% hum on everything. Id swap out the Walmart RCAs for some decent ones. The B&K will be happier heh.

I will say I didnt hear a difference when I was using my Audioquest HDMI Carbon cables with %5 silver conductors. I know it is less resistance with silver but my ears heard nothing diff and I sold it since I needed long HDMI Monoprice Redmere Cables but interconnects are different IMO. What sub cables do you use for that sexy svs?

On it's way bud. Should arrive on Tuesday...tick tock tick tock.....the worst part of a purchase is the wait.

I wouldn't sweat cables too much. I did buy some RCA's thru monoprice and had to return them as they were so tight I was afraid to use them. Check into Bluejean cables for great quality at a reasonable price and custom lengths....

btw.....all the XLR terminals on the amp tested fine should you go that route with a different AVR or Pre/Pro someday....
