Just remember true alcoholics drink

Warm beer !

This one didn't except a couple times as a teen.

Pickled my filter (liver) before 40, now a teetotaler that a shot a few times a month is all I'll allow myself bud! (Sorry Bill W!) & I've been out since May this time.

On another note, I'm back to nursing & cat naps at odd hours.

Got my mother out of the hospital this evening, she was in all but 3 1/2 days since 6/14.

Sucks for her... an operation, then a week later another of the same kind to repair what the first dumb-dumbs did to her.

Will seek counsel on this sh^t, it seems inexcusable to me but not sure of it.

we still do. a great party is a lot more sedate now. The sky/stars are always nice.  turn the lights on  and discover you are surrounded by cows.

... and they are all staring at the car

and saw hundreds of choppers and figured that in my condition i should probably go to one of the other kegs, knowing that if i stumbled into one those hogs

those would be the folks I came with. Fun bunch

wife and everyone made it back from the ranch [where boy works]. They had a good time, I guess. Swam, ate, danced and fireworks. Boy did a dimass move. Stayed overnight at the ranch. Got sick drunk. Told him that was not too smart. There were guests.   At least he dinna barf until after he went to bed.

  in his defense

he has been putting a lot of hours in w/o time off.

I face a similar situation when I first got to Kauai. 6wks of "You might get tomorrow off". Took matters into my own hands. Went to the liquor store and was 3 sheets to the wind by 9AM. Don't remember exactly how the phone call went... but, they decided I was off.

we got spots of mud on our windshield.  It was a puny storm. No snap crackle pop. Good thing these only get to popcorn.... If they got any size, they could do some damage.

and I have a cricket in here [the doghouse] that is trying to compete with the stereo.Watched a couple wrestling for a female. They went after each other pretty good. It was a decision win. I won... by  a foot.   I'm OK with them... not indoors.

glad things aren't as bad as they could be in CA with the earthshakes

they say there is a 3% chance of another over 4[?]

If you do the math [based on the #'s given], that is NOT a remote possibility

 aftershocks are ~1/min    60/hr    1440/day

cool AM and hot coffee. we're off to a good start.

got a thunder popper yesterday afternoon. It did cool things. We went from 95` to 75`. Never did make it back to 85`.  Nice!

was looking at the SVS site... They have a speaker/sub matching program....

of course they recommend the biggest/most expensive sub to go with LaScalas...

Do I need 2500W peak for music? Want, yes... need?

would 2 smaller units be better than one big?  Don't have HT capability, so , that isn't a consideration.

Cables - I put away some cables yesterday.  💪

Coffee - My last coffee was a Nespresso, this morning actually.

Cocktails - My last cocktail was called a 'Captains Bounty' on a cruise I was on at the time.  🍹

Back home, tonight, this make me happy.

Had my own coffee in my coffee pot already, my own shower and later my bed.

I'm easy to please.

Sorry, Pete

:redx:

I've done that... sans the splash at the end

Went to the mall yesterday. Did something I haven't done for a while. Brought stuff home.   By the by -- the "mall" is the dump

there was a little casio keyboard sitting outside one of the dumpsters, signifying it was usable [that's how we do it]. Took a quick look/see. Batteries been left in, and corroded.  So, I brought it home. Cleaned the battery box and.... the kid has a keyboard. At 5, she's old enough to have a musical instrument. We even have a power pack that fits. That surprised me... big.

was telling the wife, she may regret the power pack... batteries die...

now I have to remember patience and how awful I sound, banging away

@dtel

good to hear you made it home. Seems you are having some weather... excessive heat type stuff? And now a storm coming?

That’s a good age to introduce her to music. Her mind might accept it off she goes.

we always had instruments. Dad was a musician.

as long as she is enjoying it, doesn't matter whether it sounds good to me.

She can blow a horn. Showed her how using a cardboard tube.

If she shows interest in that... I have a horn. A fancy, engraved Conn commemorative trumpet. I have woodwinds and reeds, too.

They can still be wild and crazy, not sure the best word is sedate but I know what your saying. Maby a touch more responsible, considering inconveniences, like police showing up, fights, and at times how your going to feel the next day.

But I get it and your right, but i know some of the parties at Rodney's planning for pilgrimage all of that was thrown out the window.

Once about 4am Rodney said to Kevin and I, watch this, he then dialed 911 and told them he had some coonasses at his place and they won't turn down the music.Kevin looked at me and said what the hell, I said i thought that was the last thing we wanted. We decided well we will just keep going until the police came, what else could we do? About 25 min later they called back and he had it on speaker phone so we could hear, the person, knowing Rodney says "Rodney do I really need to get up out of bed and get dressed to come out there ?", Rodney told them no he will get it taken care of and they hung up, the party went on and Kevin and I just laughed, being relieved. Rodney thought it was hilarious, this is the benefit of being in the country and knowing the sheriff.

My wife has all of this on video in her phone, we had to walk around the side of the building to hear the phone we had it cranked up. It was not really funny at first.

Thank you, and yes a little hotter than normal here at 98, I can't remember the last time it hit 100, but our humidity is usually high, right not at 46% is low for us.

The thing in the Gulf is so close to land were not worried about it turning into anything to worry about, hopefully just alot of rain and clouds which we could use. Last week in Hope we got a few pretty good thunderstorms with heavy rain but overall it was fine.
