Nidute
My parents bought these speakers in the late 80s and have been the only owners. We want them to go to a good home, one in which they will much appreciated. I have been told we should get from $700 to $1000. Is this accurate? If so, can I sell through this site? I believe they are Chorus speakers in walnut? On back it says CHR WO, serial # 8872013. We are located in Farmington, Michigan. Any help and/or advice you guys can give me is appreciated! jjptkd
If you were local to me and they were near mint I'd offer you $500 cash. I've seen then sell for more but I've also picked up a few pairs for much less. Good luck with your sale!
Ski Bum
That they're walnut should help a bit. What they'e worth is dependent on your local market more than anything, but even in BFE they should fetch $500 minimum. You could always carry on the family tradition (both yours and Klipsch) of disturbing the neighbors and keep them for yourself. opusk2k9
There is a guy with walnut Chorus with boxes in WI that had them posted for a long time at $700. I think they were worth it for this market (Chicago), Chorus II go for a ~$750 around here in decent shape. Photos help with pricing. Good luck with your sale.
jimjimbo
Yes, better photos, tops, sides, backs. Definitely help.
opusk2k9
Yes, better photos, tops, sides, backs. Definitely help. The risers are important to show there was no flood damage. The tops show how well they were taken care of, too often there is the dreaded drink ring or planter mark.
Moderators Youthman Posted August 18, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 18, 2014 I was only able to get $540 for my Chorus II and they were in excellent condition. It's hard to tell from your photo the exact condition of yours.
opusk2k9
My black Chorus II (no badges or tags, otherwise good condition) went for $650, that took nearly a month to sell. Condition and your eagerness to sell will affect the price.
Nidute
Thank you very much, everybody. I will be adding pictures of all sides of both speakers to my Craigslist add. Someone told me to use lemon oil on the walnut- good idea?

Uts
nice to see another local ! i know that a pair of chorus II's in oak have been for sale locally, but it's been posted for the last 2-3 months on CL. if i remember correctly he was asking $1200, but the guy has a bunch of misc. stuff bundled with it, to help "sweeten the deal"... not sure if it helps you at all. maybe it helps you know what not to charge?
jimjimbo
You may want to post your CL listing link here, and/or your additional photos, along with the asking price you are now considering.

ZEUS121996
In 1988 weren't they Chorus IIs? The tags say Chorus so I'm guessing 1s?
opusk2k9
I believe 1989 was the first full year for Chorus II.
