thebes
At last something esthetically pleasing in the realm of power strips. No, it won't change your life. No, you won't get better highs, and lower lows. Yes, it plugs into the wall. No it is not made by vestal virgins. Yes, it is Thebes approved, even though I don't actually own one. Cost: $79, a mere pittance in the realm of cable magic which will transform your life and and stimulate your senses without resorting to Viagra. If after using this power strip you have an erection that lasts more than 12 hours, throw yourself off a cliff. I give you the "Oon": http://okum.co/products/block-cord Edited February 11, 2015 by thebes
jimjimbo
If I even thought about buying one of those, I would still throw myself off a cliff.....

thebes
If I even thought about buying one of those, I would still throw myself off a cliff..... In this regard, we must part ways. This product makes absolutely no claims to greatness, is not an audiophile product, but simply re-imagines the look, not the functionality, of a pedestrian object. Given the fact that some audiophiles will actually spend hundreds of dollars to buy a cable because of how it looks, this non-audiophile product, translates the ho-hum, into Oom. Thebes approved! Please note "Thebes Approved" is an exclusive utterance of Thebes Corp., a subsidiary of Thebes-O-Rama Enterprises.
toolz
I wonder how long that would last around small children. Blocks and balls on a string.

Guest Steven1963
And I thought Tide had a problem with their candy-resembling laundry detergent pods. How long before some kid strangles and electrocutes themselves with this thing?
minermark
Im sure a few of my Buds in silicone valley have these, so i will refrain further comment.
thebes
No true audiophile would ever allow children within a mile of his system. I said "Thebes Approved" not kiddie approved.

Quiet_Hollow
I said "Thebes Approved" not kiddie approved. Well then, being behind that thing is the safe zone. Being in front of it would redefine the term "strain relief".....
Thaddeus Smith
I personally wouldn't buy this while I have babies playing with blocks attached to each other with similar looking string.

thebes
Now the funny thing about this is that I learned about the product from the "Local Living" section of the Washington Post. This weekly section is basically for women and is stuffed full of decorating ideas and articles about mothers and their kids. So go figure .I like it, but only in situations where you have a buncha cords running in front of, not behind, things. And so what if you lose a kid or two. You can always make more.
