Sancho Panza
www dash searching dot com has taken over IE11 & Mozilla Firefox. Twin boys often download shite, even though I have the IE settings set to NOT allow downloads... Can't remove it by normal means, and ideas on other means??? Thank you. Jeff Matthews
Go to your IE Options/Settings and see where it is. It is either a searchbar, a plug-in or both.
Jeff Matthews
You ought to be able to hide it if it is a searchbar or disable it if it is a plug-in. There is a place to manage plug-ins, and you can find the plug-in and disable it.

Mallette
Glad I don't have what you do, SP. I've removed a lot of junk and the only time MWbytes failed it was a really bad one that took several programs, including MWB, to clean. JL Sargent
Often times its a simple Firefox plugin as JM mentioned above and all you have to do is remove the plugin within Firefox.

CECAA850
Spybot has resurrected my PC a couple times. Once was really bad. I had to put it on a flash drive and run it from there as my virus wouldn't let me online.
Sancho Panza
Spybot Search & Destroy didn't work, neither did Spyware Blaster, nor the Agressive Version of Norton...
Marvel
Did malwarebytes install? They hace a version called chameleon that will usually install/get around software that would normally block it. Bruce
Sancho Panza
^^^ Far as I can tell Malwaresbytes installed & ran; Revo Uninstaller identified the problem & said it worked, but it did not... wvu80
system restore? I didn't see where this had been tried. I have had nasty malware where this did NOT work, there were only a couple of recent restore points, the older ones had been removed.
