Moderators Travis In Austin Posted November 11, 2015 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2015 "According to a recent BofA reported on how robotics will reshape the world, San Francisco start up Momentum Machines are out to fully automate the production of burgers with the aim of replacing a human fast food worker. The machine can shape burgers from ground meat, grill them to order with the specified amount of char, toast buns, add tomatoes, onions, pickles, and finally place it on a conveyor belt. The robot is shown below. It occupies 24 square feet, and is much smaller and efficient than most assembly-line fast-food operations. It provides "gourmet cooking methods never before used in a fast food restaurant" and will deposit the completed burger into a bag. It does all of this without a trace of attitude." http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-11-10/dear-striking-fast-food-workers-meet-machine-just-put-all-you-out-job I like it! And I don't have to worry about any nefarious activity against my burger while it was being made. You keep quoting/linking to zerohedge, what's up with that? Now if that robot will drop it in an autonomus vehicle and deliver it to your door you will really have something. I do? I guess the article was relevant to this topic. Besides, 4 posts up from yours is a link to a different site. I linked that one because it was relevant to what Oldtimer had posted. And I think you should keep your idea quiet lest someone steal it and make it a reality. Google or Amazon comes to mind. DRONEBURGER. Yes you do.https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/160218-do-you-know-someone-with-cancer/?fromsearch=1 Hmm...so by my count, I've got two links to zerohedge and several more to other sites. All of them relevant to the topics. I've either got an admirer or a stalker. Which is it? Wait, don't answer. I don't care. Let's stay on topic. Neither, just an observation. I am sort of cursed with this memory quirk where I see repeating patterns in people.

CECAA850
Interesting. Because Politics is one of my favorite subjects. I use other sites for that though. Nice to know I can start a thread here though. I was referring to this at the top of the lounge section. NOTE: Topics covering sensitive issues such as race, religion, or politics have no place here and will likely be locked by moderators at their discretion. Normally red vs blue topics get blown out pretty fast. Edited November 11, 2015 by CECAA850
Bella
What an odd place. You figure that out all by yourself son? And I'm not a son. Consider yourself informed.
Jim Naseum
Just like Jesus said, "the poor you will always have with you". That's not accurate. There is no period after the word " you ". The actual quote contains the all important additional clauses which reverse the meaning you have implied. Context and thoroughness are crucial in getting that comment right. I highly recommend you review it more carefully when quoting it. Sent from my SM-T330NU using Tapatalk

Moderators Travis In Austin Posted November 11, 2015 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2015 No. Really. I read the TOS prior to joining. Am I to understand they are not taken seriously here? That any topic is open for discussion? I'm confused. You have it right. No race, no religion, no politics, no sexual orientation. Biblical references have been discussed, but only as a historical reference. Recently there was a brief mention as it related to a discussion about a piece of art. Politics is off limits. The question is what is "politics" or "political." It varys from day to day, and who is moderating. Typically, a person who is astute enough to avoid the proper name of a candidate can discuss politics and remain below the radar. You will have no problem. For example, this thread quickly turned political. People's views tend to fall in line with one of two major political ideologies. People on here are finally starting to learn how to have a discussion without mentioning the name of a political party.

"Discretion" is the key word there, and there are a number of factors, historically, that will determine whether something gets shut down or not. Sounds like somebody needs to have a meeting. Thanks for the clarity. I'll just continue to steer clear to keep from having to deal with inconsistencies. Yes, that guy that turned his back on his constituents and fell in step with his party. Yeah, his party that hates all members of the other party. I don’t trust him and i heard he farts in public and blames it on a vast multi-directional conspiracy to tarnish his legacy.

Fjd
Bottom line: If you think a person serving you is underpaid, you can tip them. Be generous! You don't need to wait for Congress. Just go ahead and start tipping generously today. Nobody is stopping you. Tip your yard-man more. Tip the garbage collector. Tip the newspaper carrier. It's all in your hands. I've been reading articles recently that some restaurants where servers have been traditionally tipped, are moving to a no tipping policy. While some claim it is a move to make serving staff compensation more stable, others have indicated it is an attempt to redress the imbalance in compensation between servers and cooks. http://www.wsj.com/articles/behind-the-move-to-ban-tipping-1447206602 This article seems to indicate that Joe's Crab Shack raised the server's wages and lowered prices while eliminating tipping. http://www.businessinsider.com/joes-crab-shack-drop-tipping-2015-11 Edited November 11, 2015 by Fjd
