Vinyl - Record Spinning

Full Range

Recommended Posts

Next on the spin cycle in my small Pink Floyd collection (4 albums )

A brilliant double album - but don't loose the fact that it is a concept and theatrical album

Still some brilliant songs shine like diamonds

Artist - Pink Floyd

Title - The Wall 1979

ID - 63183 Columbia

My copy has no ID text on the cover- just the brick pattern on both sides

Our step-by-step infographic reveals the exact magic that goes into creating a record.

You’ve had a peak inside our pressing plant, zooming in and out at the machinery behind the music. Now fill in the gaps with our illustrated infographic which delineates every step of the production system.

From lacquer creation in the mastering studio to metalwork operations and the pressing procedure, there are many intricate and highly labour intensive processes needed to keep the vinyl spinning on your turntable. Check out how we do it below:

For anyone wanting to know how to set up ones turntable

This site covers it all and written in a way that is easy to understand

A snip now the rest is on the link below or click any of the Gold headings

The playing of a record is a mechanical process to begin with:
a needle tip is forced to follow a complex pattern in a groove.
If the mechanical adjustments and alignments of turntable, cartridge and arm have been made correctly, even the simplest turntable and cartridge can bring joy.
All the adjustments are interrelated.
Click on a button to go immediately to
the subject of your choice.
Or just press Ctrl + F and type a key word or phrase.

This drawing of the stereo groove may look frightening. Yet...
...if you stick to the basic adjustments, you can enjoy the sound of analog recordings engraved in the vinyl record.

A nice surprise arrived in the mail today in the form of record goodness

However I was a little upset that the M - description was a little off the mark

A long deep scratch was found on side 2

So I got to pay side one only as I'm not risking damage to my stylus by playing side 2

Contacted the seller and waiting for a reply

Good evening FH      6:21am here, a 4th of July breakfast gathering HERE with our newest neighbors this morning.   Thought I would take a minute to check things out here.   Oh, and thanks for the 'Kiri' spelling / correction.......yikes !

I have the WYWH album which is wonderful!, however, the LP packaging is a pain in the arse to unravel with that black plastic 'bag' they have as an outer cover jacket!  :o

Enjoy the evening............I must get prepping for the morning 'feast'....  :D
