Made in Korea?

After looking at these further, does anyone else feel that they are much newer than what is claimed?  I know there's a pic of a tag, maybe someone could verify age.

40th week of.....1986

@DizRotus

You have a PM

From the listing:  "Have not been played for 40 years. This is not a joke."

If made in 1986, the quote may not be a joke, but it must be a mistake.  In any case, they do look very nice.

I was thinking same thing...  my '79 LaScalas have AA's and I would have thought these would have had A's or AA crossovers in them, not the AK.

Looks like AK-2 XOs to me from the add. My Khorns are 86 or 87, can't remember which right now, and originally came with AK-2 XOs.

That crossover looks odd to me.  I have never seen (not saying much, though) a Klipschorn crossover without a screw terminal strip.  Is this common?

The Type AA ran from 71-82.  Those Khorns are 1986.  Khorns from that era run about $2900 so the $3500 asking price is high, but not crazy high.

What finish is that?  I couldn't tell from looking or from the label, but it looks special.
