JBCODD
Very pleased that the US ladies team won the Gold. A very exciting contest. But what happened to the post contest handshake? In the NHL players beat the heck out of each other for two weeks, but shake hands when its over, and I find this to be a fine tradition. Why not in the Olympics? JBCODD
Well shut my mouth. The handshakes happened after the medal ceremony. But it would have been better if the players had lined up and passed in review after the contest, in my opinion.

Moderators dtel Posted February 22, 2018 Moderators Share Posted February 22, 2018 I do not usually watch Hockey but I did last night after hearing about this rivalry. Good game and glad I watched, for a while I didn't expect them to pull it out but they did great.

YK Thom
It has been tougher watching the games this time because of the time difference. Not a great year for the Canadian teams. Next time...

YK Thom
Shame about the curling, Koe is one of my board members sons. He flew over from YK to watch live. Fourth in the world is pretty damn good for a local northern boy.We were pulling for him.

It is truly a Canadian passion and carries with it a sense of national pride. I admire that. I also like the Canadian national anthem and their flag is cool.
