Palladium disassembly

Hi.

 

I'm disassembling a P-27C but cannot get the tweeter/horn combo out.

As you can see from the picture i have removed the nuts holding it in place and its very loose but it feels like its still stuck to something at the bottom.

Anyone know what i might be missing?

Figured i would write in case somebody has the same issue in the future.

 

There is a small amount of "silicone" keeping the horn from coming out so just pull it out, you wont break anything.

Hallo, 

I need to replace the tweeter diaphragm as well. How did you open the speaker please?  The instruction pdf is no longer available. 

And where do I get the diaphragm please?

I finally found out how I can replace the tweeter diaphragm but I am still looking for the spare parts. Do you have any idea by any chance?

Not sure that Klipsch will have but you can ask. Bumping this up as several members here can answer with information, I hope. @HenningO

Awesome, thank you. Since I will call them from Germany, the 1-800-number might not work. Do you also have another number which is not for free?

Today I got feedback from the German Company which is doing the service for Klipsch in Germany. They told me that Klipsch told them they don't have the diaphragm for the Palladium tweeter anymore. 

Not even the whole tweeter.....nothing. 

This is unbelievable.

Now I can't fix my 8000 Euro speaker because of that.

I will never buy any Klipsch speaker again because of that aweful service.

I am very disapointed.

There is an eBay seller selling some Palladium parts, including a P-17B horn assembly.  You could take the tweeter diaphragm out of that.  It's a bit steep a price for just a diaphragm, but it might be better than giving up.
