MichaelShaffer
Can anybody recommend some good songs to try with my Klipsch RB-35 speakers. Something that will make these speakers shine. A lot of songs have good parts but i'm looking for something longer, like maybe a drum solo or something. I dunno just something that sounds really really good. Audio Flynn
One i listened to today from years ago. "See the Changes" Crosby Stills and Nash from the CSN album Martin acoustic guitar and 3 part harmony. Simple but very detailed in the recording. It will show you what you have. Listened to Simon and Garfunkle today as well. AND...THe new Zepplin live CD sounded sweet too. ENJOY

DSOTM of course Miles Davis, "So What" Garcia & Grisman, "The Thrill is Gone" and "Grateful Dawg," studio version from "Grateful Dawg Soundtrack" Anything from Grateful Dead's "Reckoning" Too many more to list. jt1stcav
There are way too many songs to list (from singers as diverse as Norah Jones to Diana Krall), but one of my favorite songs is "Spanish Harlem" by Rebbeca Pidgeon. Chesky makes spectacular recordings that almost breath a life all their own, and the performances are very convincing...Rebecca sings right in front of me every time I play her CD through my Cornwalls! boomac
Topsey, part 2 seriously: Sing Sing Sing - Dave Grusin Presents the GRP All Star Big Band LIVE. Dave Weckl is fantastic on the drums. 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover - Paul Simon. Steve Gadd has the beat.
boomer9911
A good test....Chuck Mangione, Feels So Good, a true test of a horn system IMO The track runs just over 10 minutes, but then again if you are looking for length, a true classic, Iron Butterfly, In Da Gadda La Villa(?) 17 mins +, or classic Uriah Heep as in Magicians Birthday, Beggars Opera, Classical Gas or Macarthers(?) Park are very good
fini
"Bandage Nine," by Kiko Marie. Off the album "Blinking Param Head."
prodj101
Diminuendo and Crescendo in Blue live from Newport by duke ellington is a very fun one to listen to, it's older so it's not the best recording, but it gives me goosebumps when it's crankin. artto
Drum solos eh? You should pickup Sheffield Lab's "THE SHEFFIELD DRUM AND TRACK DISC" (#11420-2 F). It has two drum solos, aprox 7 minutes each, with Ron Tutt & Jim Keltner. Also on Sheffield, "KODO: Heartbeat Drummers of Japan". Sheffield Lab's big band recordings of Harry James are also excellent. http://www.sheffieldlab.com
Thors1982
I like to listen to "Mountain Jam" by the Allman Brothers. But, its a 33 minute instrumental so you probably have to like the Allman Brothers to listen to it. It has a long drum solo and guitar and bass solos. garymd
ELPs first album has a great drum solo by the most underrated and my personal favorite drummer in rock history (Carl Palmer of course). Take a listen to that album. The beat on the bass drum he keeps up with his foot is unbelievable.
