On a personal note, I was recently interviewed for the Professional Photographers of New England monthly journal. Although I live in the midwest, I belong to this professional society because they have a fantastic school that I attend every year. It also gets me an annual trip to New York City!

It's too bad that it seems as if we all need to put ourselves down.

Or that if we say that we can do something well, we're on an ego trip.

You have the talent, it was recognized by your peers.

That's an honour. Thanks for sharing it.

Congrats Michael!

No need to be modest around here. We're like family, remember?

Great accomplishment. You SHOULD be bragging!

BTW - I'm more of a "Life Of Brian" kind of guy although they're both great.

I have fond memories of "The Meaning of Life", although Holy Grail is the classic! But this about Michael, sorry for the interruption.

Very cool, Michael! I can relate to the part about "growing up" (as we've talked about before). Is that shot gonna be your new avatar?

Too bad they didn't ask your favorite place to "wile away the hours" on the internet...1.gif

Pretty cool Michael. I'm with fini though - they should have asked you about your favorite internet sites for (ahem) research. 11.gif

BTW, I hate to tell you this, but we've met before. I was the kid you had to use the pink bunny on to get me to smile. 9.gif9.gif9.gif

Seriously though, it's always a good feeling being recognized for a contribution. Money is a sugar high. A sincere public recognition is priceless and lasts much, much longer.

Yeah DrWho, dats me. I'd rather have a photo of me interacting with my subjects than the typical 'posed' yeech headshot. That's what I look like on the job. If you smile at people, they will smile back. (yeah, put that on my headstone)LOL

I always find it interesting to match a face with an online personality. It always dramatically changes one's mental image of the person.
