Thumpelstiltskin
They're worth every penny. I just wonder if the buyer really thinks the cabinets are "cherry wood"?
ooteedee
He sold those speakers pretty well in the ad copy.
Daddy Dee
Yep, somewhat pricey. Definitely not savvy Ebay buyers. Maybe the seller's lucky day. I also wonder about seeing a couple of very low feedback bidders bumping up the price, but would also note that that those Fortes are about as nice as one will see Forte's on Ebay. jerohm
looks like a 'bidding war' between two IDs with little feedback (1 and 2). That in itself smells fishy. What I don't understand, is if this is just shill bidding, doesn't the seller still have to come up with the eBay fees???
Gilbert
Seller got too greedy and carried away with the shill. Only 7 or 8 different bidders total, and 2 of those are low low feedbacks. Shilling at it's worst IMO.

fastlane
Remember the KG4's that went for over $600 a few weeks ago?
krustyoldsarge
Makes me feel better about the big bucks I paid for my ChorusII's. You can't come by any Heritage cheap here in Korea!
dodger
Ther's a lot not right about ebay. And Paypal. But the shill bidding does well. and it doesn't matter what the fees are if you make a great profit. They are so oriented to the Seller that it's a joke. Run Commercials, raise fees. But no-one has the guts to run competition. That's the poor part of it. dodger
sunnysal
"wireless NO" I would only pay over $900 for wireless Fortes! LOL! tony
GeorgeV
Wow!!! That's a lot for Forte 2's. I'm trying to sell mine for $600 plus shipping.

classicman
http://cgi.msn.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5748136824 Can you belive 1 academy went for over 600.00? Didn't pay that much for mine brand new. There are 2 other academy's about to end for 1/3rd that price.
middlecreekguy
Looks like a bidding war between a couple of newbies. Plain and simple. You remember what it was like when you first bid on something you really really wanted on ebay. Your heart started pounding out of your chest and it got real hard to think. It's a rush the first few times. Was for me anyway when I got my speakers and amp.

marcophile
mmmmm...Maybe a newbie but anytime I buy used equipment, I always will pay a premium for original boxes, packaging and manuals. Generally, if a seller keeps the packaging and boxes for that long, you have a pretty good idea about the care he/she has given to the item. Let's face it, it's easier to toss it all out than it is to keep.
