O-T Things to do in Albuquerque?

I'll be in Albuquerque, NM, on business next week (8/8-8/12) and was wondering what there is to do or see in this fine city.

Most of my evenings will be free so long distant sight-seeing trips may be out of the question.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions, recommendations..etc.

There used to be a Klipsch Heritage dealer there with the whole line on the Showroom floor. This was in 1984-1985 though. My buddy and I drove from Alamogordo, NM to go check out some Belle's since he was interested in buying a pair. I don't remember the name of the place.

Stop by Myer's RV and find the service manager; Scott Hardesty. Then tell him you have a large turd lodged in your toilet and ask him if he will personally remove it for you, free of charge. Then tell him "Steve from Iowa" asked you to do it....11.gif (They used to be in our dealer group and he is quite the character...too many stories could be told...)

ps, Los Alamos and Bandolier are pretty cool. My mother-in-law's sister lives there and her husband worked there at the lab years ago. Worth the trip to see it...

Spent a few days there , ( car broke down ) . This was back in '88 . Anyway my advice to you is to carry a couple of packs of ciggs. just in case ... Truthfully the fact that I was a Smoker and had ciggs. at the time might have saved my life . I encountered a bad situation . Anywhoo I agree with the member about SantaFe cool town Great place to hang out !!!

The view from the tram is incredible.. climbs up the mountain. There is a place to eat at the top too.

It gets cool at night / dry heat during the day.

"Old town" area for the best mexican food.

Santa fe has great site seeing, history and food as well.

Try this:

Coyote Cafe

132 West Water Street

Santa Fe, NM 87501

505 983 1615

The indian casinos have invaded ALBQ. LOL Beware!!

And last:

Remember if you have something really, really, hot, beer or soda is not a good quencher...MILK is your answer.

When I was passing through there I watched in amazement as some tumble weeds crossed the road in front of me. It was briefly entertaining!
