DoubleJ
I'll be in Albuquerque, NM, on business next week (8/8-8/12) and was wondering what there is to do or see in this fine city. Most of my evenings will be free so long distant sight-seeing trips may be out of the question. Thank you in advance for your suggestions, recommendations..etc. JJ
Frzninvt
There used to be a Klipsch Heritage dealer there with the whole line on the Showroom floor. This was in 1984-1985 though. My buddy and I drove from Alamogordo, NM to go check out some Belle's since he was interested in buying a pair. I don't remember the name of the place. IAmtnbikr
Stop by Myer's RV and find the service manager; Scott Hardesty. Then tell him you have a large turd lodged in your toilet and ask him if he will personally remove it for you, free of charge. Then tell him "Steve from Iowa" asked you to do it.... (They used to be in our dealer group and he is quite the character...too many stories could be told...) ps, Los Alamos and Bandolier are pretty cool. My mother-in-law's sister lives there and her husband worked there at the lab years ago. Worth the trip to see it...

sunburnwilly
Spent a few days there , ( car broke down ) . This was back in '88 . Anyway my advice to you is to carry a couple of packs of ciggs. just in case ... Truthfully the fact that I was a Smoker and had ciggs. at the time might have saved my life . I encountered a bad situation . Anywhoo I agree with the member about SantaFe cool town Great place to hang out !!!
rplace
When I was there a group of locals suggested I go to Sadies ( http://www.sadiessalsa.com/ ) to eat. Great food, fantastic service. Nothing too fantsy if you are looking for a coat and tie place this is not it. Had to wait about 1.5 hours to get a table on a week day night...well worth it. IndyKlipschFan
The view from the tram is incredible.. climbs up the mountain. There is a place to eat at the top too. It gets cool at night / dry heat during the day. "Old town" area for the best mexican food. Santa fe has great site seeing, history and food as well. Try this: Coyote Cafe 132 West Water Street Santa Fe, NM 87501 505 983 1615 The indian casinos have invaded ALBQ. LOL Beware!! And last: Remember if you have something really, really, hot, beer or soda is not a good quencher...MILK is your answer.

Tom Adams
I can't believe ANYONE would make a trip to New Mexico and not go to Roswell. Especially at night! (cue spooky sci-fi music) Tom

Guest Anonymous
When I was passing through there I watched in amazement as some tumble weeds crossed the road in front of me. It was briefly entertaining!
fini
You could check this out. The artist (Gordon Huether) has a ton of stuff at The Di Rosa Preserve, where I guide tours!
