audiobliss69
DrWho - I must admit I have a very limited amount of experience in the audio world. (However, that is a problem I hope to remedy.) I'd have to say the only Klipsch products I've ever heard are the RF-35, RB-75 (maybe it was the 35, I'm not sure), and some stuff from the Synergy series. I regret to say I haven't heard any of the Heritage speakers. As for what I'm comparing to, I don't know that I can say I'm comparing them to anything. When I listen to speakers, I can't say that I compare them to what I've heard before. I think I more of hear them for what they are. I've heard the Energy and am very fond of them. I also heard an older pair of Wharfedale speakers and liked them. Sorry for posting misleading information on the efficiency. I didn't catch that. CTP - As much as I like Energy stuff, I'm not sure I could pass up a chance to get some RF-7. But I'd have to listen to them side-by-side first. Let us know what you think, for sure! audiobliss
Deang
As far as maturity level and attitude goes, I think ol' Crazy has got it all over most of us here. Man, cut the kid some slack.
joessportster
ctp, i have went thru almost every heritage speaker available over the last 2 years started with corns, bought heresys and 2's, lascalas, belles and now K-horns, and all have been in a room close to the size of your room and though they may open up more in a larger room you cannot know what you may be missing untill you have heard it my speaker suggestion to you would be to try la-scalas, even though everyone complains of low bass etc etc etc......... they are wrong (IMHO, dont bash me for disagreeing with you, this is to the masses) i found in my room they had more bass and more defined bass than cornwalls and a much larger sound for the money. if you are intent on looking at other brands i would suggest a used pair of vandersteen 2 ci, they sell used around 500. and will resale for that when you move back to horns before buying klipsch i had infinity, vandersteens, blose, pioneer, shearwoods and all fade in comparisons good luck with the hunt Joe
johnyholiday
ctp, i would suggest a used pair of vandersteen 2 ci, Nice speaker i've heard them on Quick Silver mono blocks, for thousands of hours ,on friends systems,American made in Cali, Richard Vandersteen is a hands on guy, an a acquaintance

tillmbil
A 4:10 gear would be wasted on a daily driver. A corvette with at least a 327 will pin you back if it is set up right. Wait a minute, am I on the right Forum? Oh yeah, start with exhaust for the best low end torque for the buck, then get it to breath better. K&N air induction filters, or whatever they make. quick, cheap HP. You want to get off the line quick...you need to think tires, they "ain't pretty" but they make ALL the difference between spinning and rolling. NOt sure what an M6 is, I thought it was a mazda. Is that a new corvette model? If so what year? Despite what they all will tell you, if you are aking for bass, you will not be satisfied with Heresys. I have them. RF-5's, maybe. RF-7's would be your best bet for new speakers. Try Paradigm if you want to hear something different. If you want Heritage, I like the Cornwalls, but Dean is right. You will need a lot of up stream help and new networks. Forte's, now you are talking Heritage, bass and good rock-n-roll sound. Tube or SS you will like them. I had Forte II's for 15 years. Chorus, I have never heard, but they are almost like Forte's so I am sure they too would be a good choice.
audiobliss69
I would second the Paradigm suggestion. I'm not sure how efficient they are, but if they'll go well with tubes I'd certainly look into them as well.
sunburnwilly
Hey Willy your walls look sunburned, and that cord running across the floor could trip trip someone.[] Steve Your right Steve , it could trip someone . A stupid someone ! [] I'm in the process of looking for a replacement area rug to cover it . I threw out my old '12x'12 white Berber Sunday when I changed the room around . Never buy a white area rug whatever you do ! " Allthough the Kanga backing works really well "

Cal Blacksmith
Wow, haha, how blown out of proportion is this, I was pissed yesturday thus my post to triode. In response to the Corvette forums post, my father has agreed to buy myself a corvette, and since I have nothing better to do, I post hypothetical questions that I can put to use when we finaly to go out and purchase a corvette. But never the less my real goal her was just to get some sugestions beyond what I have already recived. And after review, I think I am going to do for some chours II's, true they may be alittle large for my current room, but I will not be staying in my room forever. So thats to the ones who helps, dr. who in praticular. James This is a long way from an apology for bad behavior. If I act badly, I confess it and apologize for it, I expect no less from my son or anyone else. Anything less is proof of a lack of character. garymd
I have to agree with Cal on this one. An apology is due. Respect your elders son!
texxas guy
PWNED!more gems from the corvette forum as posted by CTP: I would love to learn stick, just woried about how hard it will be. Everyone tells me once you have got it down it is second nature. Is this ture? I am going to do some more searching but if anyone can give me some basic advice, oh yeah and I am 18, however I am not one of those kids intrested in street racing or any of that. However, my love is for 0-60, the pinned in the seat feeling, getting on a freeway, or doing the twisties. One more question, does a stock c5 pin you a bit in the seat? That may be a stupid question but it doesnt hurt to ask, does it? How often do you hit the crest...those are some of my favorite roads, I live in la canada, so it is very close, I also enjoy going through sunland, ora vista to little ........ canyon. then to the crest. Fun stuff. Cannot wait till I get my vet!!! Btw I am a long time reader, this is my first post. I will hopfully be buying my first corvette within the up and coming months. Love your video's, stay safe!well...is she good in bed? if so send her my way...jk man...you need to teach the wife!

anarchist
Ya know, I can forgive the kid for having a vivid imagination, adopting a new identity depending on the forum he is on and so on; after all, he is a kid and attempting to be taken seriously by adults often contemptuous of young adolescents. What I find egregious is he apparently is taking spelling and grammar lessons at the "NosValves School of Creative and occasionally unintelligible Writing." His father should agree to purchase him a Corvette when he masters this basic skill and not before. 4:10's are overkill BTW. First gear would be practically useless in the rain - if you could drive a stick.
Parrot
Okay, he's either 18, 15, or, in girl-years, 13. Then again, if he listens to jazz, he's more likely 45+.
audiobliss69
Man, this stuff is just too funny. First up, yes, I think he should apologize. As I said before, we all owe our elders respect, and we should give everyone else respect, too. As far as I can tell, he has shown none to his elders (or women). As for the different identities thing, I can see as that'd be fun, but it's fake. I just don't agree with it. And justifying it by saying that the youth is usually not taken seriously? Yeah, that may be the case in general, but if you have good manners (and mean them), are polite and considerate, show respect, and in general show good character, that will change. Though I'm not very learned by any stretch in audio and a lot of people may disagree with me on a lot of things, I've never had someone on a forum look down on me just because of my age. The status quo is no reason to not reach for more. audiobliss

anarchist
Now that young man paid attention in class; he writes well and is polite. He has also mastered the skill of sucking up to authority. He should go far in management. [] Keep it up. I can understand why you are not looked down upon despite your age.
