sputnik
I just signed on and noticed this same tune, Speed King by Deep Purple, is also up as a challenge right now in the Lyrical Name Game in the DVD etc. forum. Now if I can get down there quick enough I can hold the title for a while in both games. Here's my challenge: "Hey bro, take it slow You aint livin in a video Youre flying low with a high velocity No doubt, youre stressin out That aint what rock n rolls about Get off that one way trip down lonely street"

jacksonbart
Not sure this has not been done before, but 52 pages is too much to look through. Just got thier reunion concert, so here it goes. "It's gettin' near dawn, When lights close their tired eyes."
sputnik
Right, but I think it was spelled "Hey Stoopid" - I think that's how stupid should be spelled all the time. Can you get my other challenge in the DVD etc. forum?

SCOOTERDOG
Bad Company...I think its Ready for Love. Ok here is one for you I used to like to walk the straight and narrow line. I used to think everything was fine. Sometimes I'd sit and gaze for days through sleepless dreams
SCOOTERDOG
ok here are some more lyrics I wonder what tomorrow has in mind for me? Or am I even in it's mind at all? Perhaps I'll get a chance to look ahead and see.
Thumpelstiltskin
Is this a Styx tune?
colterphoto1
Thanks for the hint RIck, That is Styx Crystal Ball, the song. Band I used to do lights for had some of their old road cases in White. We drove to Chicago to pick them up. One huge one 4x4x6' housed the massive projector for the Grand Illusion tour. Here's another rocker for ya.... I'm a wheel, I'm a wheel I can roll, I can feel And you can't stop me turning 'Cause I'm the sun, I'm the sun I can move, I can run But you'll never stop me burning Michael
maxg
Michael, Its familiar - not something I ever owned but I had a friend who was into this kind of thing and I seem to recall these lyrics - Deep Purple? Something about a mountain in the title - cant quite bring it to mind....bugger
toddvj
Man on the Silver Mountain, by Rainbow. How 'bout this one: I knew right from the beginnin' That you would end up winnin' I knew right from the start You'd put an arrow through my heart. Another line from the song is 'Tightened our belts, abused ourseves' []
Jeff Matthews
"Man on a Silver Mountain" by Hammerfall. Who's Hammerfall? I always thought this song was done by Dio. Next: Singing in my yacht, what a lot I got, Happiness is something that just cannot be bought.
colterphoto1
Todd actually got it correct, unless this Hammerfall band did a cover of it. Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, with Ronnie James Dio on grandiose vocals. So Max was getting there with the DP connection. Future hint: When I dig a band, I buy everything they were in before, after, and solo works. So expect some DP, Zep, and Yes oddities from time to time....But they will still be popular tunes by classic rock bands. Michael
colterphoto1
Todd, Round and Round..... What comes around goes I tell you twice (echo twice) Must be Round and Round for title. Ratt or some nasty boys band...who did 'Junior'? that voice. Scorps maybe, Michael
maxg
Oh Rainbow - I had totally forgotten and would not have come up with it in a month of Sundays. I recall their gramatically disasterous hit "Since you been gone" Current lyrics are a total mystery to me.
