SixCats!
Hi all, Well, my Computer/Phone line problems have been solved (after nearly two weeks) and I am happy to be this evenings newest member of the KLIPSCH forum. My FIRST Speakers (purchase waaaaaay back in 1975 when I was 20 years old) was a NEW pair of HERESYS which I mated with a new MARANTZ 2250 Receiver and a TECHNICS SL-1300 Turntable. Man, I LOVED that system. I still can hear my Dad SCREAMING up from the bottom of the stairs into my Bedroom "turn that God D*%$ thing DOWN! lol I'm sure it was more a matter of VOLUME than the quality of sound from the HERESYS which upset my Dad lol. At any rate, I decide to join this Forum as I recently acquired a MINT pair of Klipsch KG 4's from a young lady responding to my HOBBIEST SEEKS ad. The Speakers belonged to her EX and had been being used as END TABLES lol. I find that the less I spend on Speakers, the BETTER they sound! That is to say lol, the KG 4's cost me a total of $50.00 the pair! (which is all the woman was asking). Since I am sloooowly (but surely) moving into the TUBE side of Audio, the KG 4's are a much better match for the Amp I am presently using, an ALLIED 333 (8 watt per channel) Tube Receiver (which I purchased years ago at a YARD SALE for $5.00). Using the 333 and the KG 4's, I am getting decent results. I plan to upgrade to a more SERIOUS Tube amp when funds allow. I also hope to get LUCKY using my "Hobbiest seeks" ad and accquire a LARGER pair of HORNS. Using this "ad", I recently purchased some SAE gear from an Estate. The Widow of the former owner told me she sold her deceased Husbands (one owner) K-HORNS a year earlier for the price of (brace yourself) $400.00 the pair! Ooooh...why not ME ? lol Heck...I have FAITH that it could still happen! In fact, I would even settle for a pair of vintage Cornwalls. Speaking of which...does anyone here have any info on the new Cornwall lll's ? i.e. COST per pair, where made (please don't tell me China), and...if sound any good. etc. OK, I look forward to talking to you all in the future. Thanks for any information you may provide on the NEW Cornwalls. Regards, SixCats!

The full retail price is $3,500/pr. I don't know what the street price will be. Rick

SixCats!
Hi all, Thanks once again for all your warm welcoming me to the K site! Tom, it just so happens that I am NATIVE of Pawtucket, RI. I moved around quite a bit since I left RI in 1978. Los Angeles, Nashville, and presently living in the sticks (well, sort of) in Maine. Oldtimer...I could not find the BIO page to list my location and other information. Hey hey Patrick! Glad you are here buddy! Yep...me too...AK and a few other sites get most of my Computer time. Al K, one of these days, I am going to figure out how to post pixs. Truth be known, I now have SEVEN Cats! Al and J.4 thanks again for welcoming me to the site! I look forward to learning a LOT about Tube/Horn gear. Regards, SixCats!

SixCats!
Hi Max, Thanks for the welcome! Tis quite possible that we have indeed met somewhere before on the net. I have a web friend in Athens (I haven't talked to in some time) who shares my other rather unique (ok strange) hobby of collecting NICHE fragrances. Regards, SixCats! SilverSport
SixCats!...Welcome...nice to see you over here...it is not polite on you first post to tell us you picked up some sweet speakers for less than some pay for speaker wire...[][]...seriously, there are a LOT of those stories over here and we love hearing them...the Cornwall IIIs I heard (still being dialed in) sounded great to me but I'm a Heritage kinda guy...Bill
customsteve01
sixcats, where in Maine do you live? I lived up in Bangor from 87 to 90. We were just talking about Bangor today and as we heard I guess its going thru a growing spell. Good score on the KG4's, I have KG5.2's myself.
