ajsons
I didn't post until I got a "go" signal from Gil. I emailed him saying that my posts/theme would still be about the Jubilee and relates to what the professor is doing, and provide some entertainment at the same time. In a second email I told him that the band would be just waiting for the professor to get done and see the results of his efforts, just like what we're doing now, before they use the EV driver. That's it. Maybe I got carried away trying to be humorous, and it's not working out . There is definitely nobody getting entertained from what I can see, maybe my jokes suck . It's the wrong thread and maybe the wrong forum. Gil, I'm sorry, it won't work. I'm pulling the plug on this one. Thanks, Michael.
D-MAN
Kids, see what can happen when grown men start playing with dolls? It's all fun and games until somebody loses a ********. DM
WMcD
The Professor is very worried. He was intending to take Gretchen on the supply mission through the Cave of Jungles. Now she has disappeared. All that can be found in her belongings is an empty jewel box. Maybe she went to join the Lonely Hertz Club. But she could fall prey to the many dangers. colterphoto1
AWWWW, that makes me sad to see this different, but inventive chapter torn from the book. Rman, I applaud your creativity (as well as Gil's). It makes me sad to think that it had to be taken away. btw, where did you obtain your figurines? Those must be worth a fortune- that you took them out of protective wrap to use them is cool. If still available anywhere, I MUST have them! tigerwoodKhorns
That pix was so not PC that I about coughed up a lung laughing from it. [+o(] Me too. It came out of left field and I just rolled over laughing. Combine it with his "Mr. Hankey" avitar and you have a winnign combination. WMcD
I am not laughing, at all. I'm rather annoyed. Rman, in my book, is a very good fellow. He requested my approval to inject a parallel story. Call it a "spin off." I liked his work. I believe he found, as I did, that it is challenging to create a long story line. I've recently encouraged him (via e-mail) to carry on. I hope he does. The Fab Four, and Rman's personality puts a happy spin on things. I like it. The Beatle were a watershed in the culture of the times. Much for the positive. I get too dark. Let's see what Rman can do. It is a new world and new thoughts must be entertained. The many holidays in my presentation result from waiting for inspiration and the work of taking the pictures toward the end of telling an interesting story. Some of the photos you see regarding construction are about two years old. Now, there is more work and testing on the speakers to be done to make "A Journey" technically valid and cosmetically appealing. Such are my goals. Getting things technically valid and cosmetically appealing requires a lot of work. Hence the delays. Thebes and Mike S. have made their posts interleaved with mine. Nothing I can do to stop them. In my view they are "Locker-room lechery and Barbie doll porn." (Rod Sterling could have said that, and take a hit off a Camel.) These are common, vulgar accomplishments, in my book. If I may quote from Gene Roddenbury speaking though Spock: "I object to power without purpose and intellect without discipline." Rman is always welcome in my thread. The other two should start their own "funny" threads. Frown, Gil

Marvel
Gil, I thought the Beatles diversions/addition was a wonderful piece. I'm sorry you're so upset over this.
DrWho
Wow, 2 years is a long time for a speaker project! Talk about dedicated...no wonder you're presenting it in a most elaborate and original fashion. Btw, I liked the Beatles story too...
thebes
I too am sorry that I have offended you with my posts and they will be taken down. I thought you were ok with this since it was not raised in our communication about another aspect of this thread. I guess I should have been more specific in that email Again my apologies. I also want to say I appreciate some of the guidance you have offered along the way as I have tried to understand various aspects of our hobby. I look forward to the completion of your journey on this project and can't wait to hear your views on how they sound. I am here to learn, have some fun, and hang out with some very nice people. I don't want to go anything to disrupt that. On a lighter note andto paraphrase one of my favorite Rod Serling episode's: I am here "to serve forumkind". hwatkins
I have taken my posts off this thread. I was not aware that they were being found offensive by the authur. This has been a lively and entertaining read. I hope it continues. Gil - as to your public comments on lechery, etc., while not directed at me, I participated. You would be amazed at what a PM can accomplish with me. I guess we all choose our own forums for expression (as I just did by responding publically). As Marty said - your knowledge is invaluable and has been very helpful. Cheers.
colterphoto1
We want Beatles! We want Beatles! We want Beatles! We want Beatles! C'mon, can't we all just get along? Gil's thread is educatational (as always) and as humourous as I've ever read. Rman's interleaved story was approved, timely, and fun as well. Why can't we just enjoy and leave well enough alone? LarryC
It's time for me to step up with my own profound apology. I didn't pick up on Gil's hand-off to RMAN, and honestly don't know why I gave in to an impulse to "protect" the integreity of his thread without even consulting him! You know -- if anyone had said, you idiot, these posts were OK with Gil AND everyone has the good sense to appreciate them, I'd have edited out my comment and suggestion in an instant. I've been feeling really gulity about this. So -- a big public self-administered dope-slap for me! And, I, too, ask for the Beatles' return!
