Methinks it's mainly due to the awesome power of his preamp, incl. the phono stage. I got the Juicy Music fever and the only prescription is a shot of Blueberry with all the trimmings. BBX without Creme is $1795.00 If you don't need a Low Output Moving Coil phono input you could save a few bucks with Barry's. I think he's using the whisper broom handles now, they offer an improved telescoping mechanisim that lets you reach an additional 12" over the previous version.
