Coytee
Okay a clue. The name starts with a letter really low in the alphabet. Then it HAS to be an Academy....can't get MUCH lower in the alphabet!! [:^)]
Deang
Nope. She scored somebody else's big horns. I'm handcuffed to one of them in the back of her van though -- and she keeps screaming something about 'damn white Solen caps' through the crack in the door. cjgeraci
Hmmmm, could it be a pair of Altecs, my second favorite brand of horn speakers? Maybe some 19s? Carl.
meagain
No Altecs, but I do look for those at flea markets (like that's going to happen). Got khorns and some accoutremonts. Tho - These have ports in the woofer door and 2 sets of options there. I've no clue as to what's up with this and too pooped to read the fine print there. They are newer versions and I'm not familiar with them. Beefy wire at the crossover though!!! But surprised to see everything soldered. I'm used to AA. Craig's fault. Mike Lindsey
Well I'm still lost... I guess I'll read about it next week.
meagain
Sorry Mike - Been busy playing with stuff. I said above. Khorns (and some stuff - pkg deal type). Pretty ones too IMO. I might decorate them for Xmas. They are sitting in the middle of my living room and I'm not moving those beasts again for a while.

Congrats on the "pretty" ones! Rick
meagain
The walnut grain is a bit different. If I stare long enough, some parts remind me of "The Scream" painting. My older pair would be more akin to "National Geographic Old Naked Tribal Lady" boobs. I also got some really nice (for me) interconnects. Audioquest Ruby & Turquoise - and a cool amp. Anyone know which woofer port pair is best for AK-3 xover? I forgot where they were plugged in. I think the bottom pair. I glanced at it but don't recall any ohm setting listed, etc.
arfandbark
You guys didn't tweak Meagain's washer/dryer combo, did you? Walnut veneer over white enamel? Audioquest interconnects between the units? That screams of quality laundering. Wish I could afford that. I can understand using VRDs' for the wash and spin cycle(plenty of horses there I'm told), but I'm unsure about the pre-soak section.... arfandbark
If I may suggest , and,and I will, go with the big 'ol battleship Crown SS amps for your dryer section.. They keep on a running even with substantial lint build up. Many forum members swear by them (myself included). For your "delicates", I'd suggest you press the SET button and allow your undergarments to stay fluffy and soft... I'm befuddled on the pre soak section.. arfandbark
Well, I've dug my own hole. All I can suggest @ this point is that you buy some Magic Pebbles to ensure your laundry is as clean as it can be... Somebody take my shovel away from me.... All in fun, right? [:^)] Coytee the low alphabet statement was a bait statement by me thinking it may lead some to think she switched to Blose speakers or something. I can seeing being the huge devote Klipsch fan that you and most here are that sin never entered anyones mind. Craig
