I've sold more Rolex watches and 1+ carat diamonds than I could ever count. Got a congratulatory card from my boss with a nice bonus inside. wuzzzer Posted February 26, 2008 Author Share Posted February 26, 2008 Its actually an older Rotel one, Rotel RSP-980. I figured it would match with my Rotel RB-980BX power amp pretty well. I would only be using it for two channel operation, although it does have some surround sound modes. Its probably almost 10 years old, same age as my amp. I figured an actual pre-amp would probably yield better results than using the pre-amp stage of my harman/kardon receiver. It came bundled with a Rotel AC-3 decoder which I'm not going to use and am going to resell on eBay as soon as i get it. The cool thing is that the preamp/decoder originally retailed at $2500 and I bought them both for $185 shipped. The RSP-980 has some really good reviews as a preamp so I think it should go well with my system. According to UPS both the Rotel and my new Cambridge Audio CD player should be here tomorrow!
