  1. Insulating your floor and interior walls with mineral wool (Roxul Saf-N-Sound for example) will reduce the sound outside the room and help the bass inside the listening room. Also, you should read up about techniques for using mass loaded vinyl or applying something like Green Glue and a second layer of sheetrock.
  2. Can you tell us about any audible differences?
  3. The PA5 II amp looks like a good choice.
  4. This has been going on for ages. If we can't get an administrator to fix the forum to reduce the chances, maybe the best we can do is to help the newbies with an easy answer.
  5. Lacquer spray paint usually works well for this application. First, learn the best techniques and make sure to practice on something else. If you mask off all the parts that should not get painted, the sonic performance will not be affected.
  6. It is a false rumor, started by someone who never thought to look at the bottom of the somewhat heavy cabinet, where the access panel is located. It is also possible that someone may have at one time glued the access cover closed on some speakers, causing grief for the next person that wanted to get in.
  7. If you have a parametric EQ, the setting for the bass is -7db @ 148Hz, Q 8
  8. Fun time for you! Your new speakers will look awesome in the room with your 2 McIntosh MC252 and the ocean view.
  9. @MMurg , Thanks for sharing your pictures. I like this one of the new horn upgrade for the La Scala and Klipschorns.
  10. Have you considered getting the new Klipsch Jubilee speakers? That could be a big upgrade in the sound.
  11. I have an amp with meters. When the meters are indicating 15 to 20 watts, the peak indicator 150W RMS/channel LEDS will flash with the music. Of course it is a rare occasion with Klipsch Heritage speakers, but the point is that music is very dynamic and it is good to have enough power available when the need occurs.
  12. Hard to imagine that another amp could sound better than what you have, but it is possible that other amps might interact differently with the impedance curves and affect parts of the frequency response that might appeal to some ears. That would not be an "improvement" in sound, just a laborious way to EQ your system.
  13. It is good to have a little headroom. 😊
  14. I wonder why about the same thing. Guessing it is because of key words (Klipsch, info) that direct the search algorithms to this section?
