  1. Wow, do tell! This is my half brother. We were not raised together, but I've always known he was my brother. However, he didn't even know I existed until six or seven years ago we made contact via Facebook. He has been living in Alaska for quite a while. He and his wife sold everything they own and hit the road to travel the US about a month or so ago. He finally made it to our home yesterday evening.

  2. What a pain in the butt trying to get ready in this morning with my right hand bandaged. Almost everything I started with my right hand, pulled at the stitches, so I switched to my left. I don't know how in the hell my wife goes through life using her left hand. I know I suck at it. Oh well, and this too shall pass. Stitches come out in 10 days.

  3. Diana Krall....good score to the wife Chuck. Diana is a cutie even if she couldn't sing. Take Baxter and see if he can howl in tune. Sorry to hear about your injury Luther...I'm sure that's a drag. MKP.....what in the world were you doing to get banged up like that? Wax job update....everything but the top is done. Must wait for shade for that. I didn't mention I don't have a garage so the Volvo sits in the elements 24/7. So I'm guessing wax is a good thing Great story Christy! Cheers Ladies and Gents

Thank you for sharing it and please keep us posted as it unfolds. So nice to hear about a family coming together for a change. Not much to report out here except better half got tickets to see Diana Krall at Red Rocks (Morrison, CO) this evening. It's quite an outdoor venue. The weather looks a little iffy but I'm sure we'll perservere! hang in there guys and cheers.

  9. Once again, just came from visiting with Dee. His condition continues to improve. He looks good and is in good spirits. His "numbers" continue to improve. (heart rate BP, etc) Dee, his brother Jim, and I visited for a good long time. There is a chance he could be released tomorrow, but more likely later in the week. I'll continue to keep everyone updated. Tony

  17. I have the worst luck. I was trimming the Lantana by our mailbox when my hand hits the mailbox and it slices open the knuckle on my thumb. A trip to the Doc in a box and I have stitches holding it back together. I did finish the trimming when I got home.

  22. Mr Crow has been ongoing for months, finely aquired the hard to find parts, and assy continues. I really dont do anything on the weekend that i cannot do right this min. retirement is good.

  23. I like it, can it be programed to say anything ? That could be funny Yeah that is what i bought/stocked parts for but ideas change as progress continues. Mr Crow will have a motion sensor that will set off his "Act" something like inviting you to watch a movie or something, but ya know that gets old in a week, still baffled as to what he should do, random is good, bunch of different things he could say. The wife claimed him for the living room back when i started building him, hell i was going to keep him in the Cave and he would be swearing and yelling for a beer!

  26. The best windshield cleaner I've ever seen or used is Bonami scouring powder. Wet a rag and keep the powder in a wet pasty consistency and scrub in circles. It's amazing. It never scratches and leaves the glass perfectly clear no matter what was on it.

  34. Yes, for sure. And it was an Island Single Malt. Isle of Jura 30yr old "Camas An Staca". He was told it was about a $400 bottle of scotch. Was a gift from a client of his. I could acquire a taste for that.....just couldn't afford to feed the habit....lol Was or still is? Because if it still is you need a drinking buddy to help with that and I just happen to be one.

  39. Thought this was nice. "Fallen Soldier's Tribute To honor the memory of a soldier who was killed in action, Jeff Beurline corded off a special spot at his local bar in Connecticut for Lt. Michael P. Murphy. Beurline bought Murphy -- or "Murph," as he was known by friends -- a Guinness and propped a reserved sign on the beer alongside an American flag. The bartender not only agreed to pour random strangers a Guinness throughout the day, but also offered to pay the costs. Read Beurline's account of the act of kindness in his post on Seal of Honor's Facebook page"

  41. MKP Good movie on that subject. Great picture also, I hadn't seen that one. I wonder if lives were saved because of that freak accident? What freak accident? I saw the bullet fired and picked it off mid air. No sweat!

  43. I've tried many many times over the years to become a "coffee drinker".....just hasn't ever been a thing for me. My wife and my daughters (well....2 of the four daughters) can't live without the stuff. Same with Scotch...just never been my thing.....other than this one particular Scotch that my uncle brought back from Scotland....it was devine....but unavailable in the states.

  46. We actually got a little rain yesterday afternoon! Of course nothing is normal around here. A microburst of wind destroyed 5 planes and damaged a few others at a small airport about 10 miles from here when the rain came through. My yard didn't care, it soaked it up like a sponge. On the flip side, it will probably be crunchy again by tomorrow. Such is life in south east TX.

  47. Sorry no pic's, I suck Christy's brother came in this evening from Alaska, will be here for a few days. So we cooked some fried shrimp and fried oysters, nothing special but it was good. Figured I should post something, I cook everyday but never post anything and rarely take a pic. But I do love to eat and cook, so that counts for something
