  3. Wow - miss a couple of days, miss a lot! Great work with the dogs tar - our Dane has bone cancer and won't be with us much longer, definitely back to the pound for the next but we may take a year or two break with little kids (they're WORK!). ;-) Wards - sweet office set up, shopping for the replacement should be a kick - enjoy! The earth was my alarm clock this morning, 4.7 earthquake woke my wife and I up just before 5:30. The power of the moving earth is humbling, but I'd still rather deal with that than tornadoes. Happy Friday all! Enjoy the weekend!

  7. 1. There are clothes you wear that somehow make you feel like "you were born for them". 2. There are other clothes that make "you" feel good wearing them. 3. And there are clothes you don just so you will not be "The Only One" to stand out. And last but not least, lifetime of being told what to wear i.e. military Academy, Nam, Sheriff, Fire Dept. Ya know, im pretty well done "Conforming", Irishmen wear pants or at least i do

  16. Happy Friday guys and Happy B-Day, Carl. Sounds like you had fun. Chilly day and waiting on a tree trimmer to show up. Our mountains have snow piling up and ski season is underway, if anyone is planning on a fall/winter vacation. Have a great day everyone.

  20. Good morning all and welcome to Friday. On the beer front..............................................My wife took me out to eat yesterday for my birthday. We hit a new restaurant we've been wanting to try. They had a dizzying amount of craft and off brand beer on tap. I had a couple of St Arnold Brewing Co "Pumpkinators". It was amazing. I've never had anything quite like it. It was served in a sugar and cinnamon rimmed mug and I believe the alcohol content was 10%. Supposedly they make it once a year and businesses are limited to one keg per season. It was black in color and not heavily carbonated. The pumpkin spice really was nice and unlike any bottled pumpkin style beer I've ever had. Quite a treat.

  21. I believe this is probably correct. No originator of an unique recipe ever turns it over complete and unedited. For example, KFC never tasted the same again after the Colonel sold it to PepsiCo years ago.

  24. My son Nick is doing a minimum wage type survey for his capstone at Marshall U. If you would take a minute and fill it out, I'd appreciate it. It is completely anonymous. Here is the link: Survey regarding the potential increase of minimum wage to $15 per hour in the US He wants to get 250 responses and he's only had 61 so far. Thanks to all who take the time to help him out... Cheers, Craig

  34. Dave, sad to hear about your pooch. We lost our little Shih Tzu a little over a year ago and I still miss her a lot. The silver lining was that it allowed us to find Baxter through the Springer Spaniel rescue organization and give a homeless guy a home. Take care. Chuck

  35. I had no idea, I don't know how you got to that but it's no wonder you a moderator, me not so much, I think they felt sorry for me? Or it's one of those quota things, let's give it to him so it don't look like we only picked people who deserved it and pay attention !

  36. Good evening. Tonight I'm enjoying a Session Ale from Founders Brewing Co., Grand Rapids, MI. The brew's name reminds me of a Jeopardy Clue: ALL DAY IPA The correct response: "How does a 66 year-old Canadian say he passes his time?" FWIW, I like this better than the much more expensive Imperial IPA from yesterday.

  37. Mark, did you buy your full outfit? That can get really pricey. I think i saw you at a pub in Limerick... wow, Guiness and Stella... I knew I liked you. We've supposedly got Scots, Irish, Welsh, English and Dutch in our family. Got named after Robert the Bruce for some reason. Bruce

  39. Just got rid of the Kegerator i built some years back, i ran only two things in it. Guinness Nov to April, and Stella April through Nov. I liked beer after a workday, two or three daily. As of two years ago maybe only a couple everyother day or so, do not drink like i used to. Quite a tale as to why i got the Kegerator outta here, some other time perhaps. As to the Irish side of me, "I NOW HAVE PAPERS" to prove irish decent, compiments of my cousin wanting to run a DNA familytree thing i agreed to, came back 100% Irish, pizzed off the entire family without knowing it. No one would talk to me as soon as they all got copys of the Cert, Turns out im a "Payne". Name change due to, too many members of the Payne family getting on the boat, they ask around the boat to find and take another familys name, and that would be the last name i grew up with as of today. Growing up we kids were fed all kinds of crap of our back ground, of course untill Me, Mark Have papers to prove BS! Always wondered why i loved Single Malt Scotch/Guinness, no one could out drink, no one. As for this pic of me wearing the Kilt, Daughters wedding day, hook up to a Scott she did, im ok with that. Irish wear pants, had fun with the son-in-law with that one i did, i was the hold out.

  40. My room is not large, an average room space 16' wide by 13' deep. My seating is along the back wall (with no space behind seating for speakers). I have my RS-7's placed in each corner, on stands, angled into the room... which permits the 140's to sit on top —no problem.

  41. Good afternoon gang Quite day on the farm, everyone was out hunting, something, don't know what. One of their women told me take up one of the dusters, you will find-em. I told her, yeah they would find me first, they are out on a nearby farm and would not bat an eye poping off at me, i know, been there done that. Do not wish to interupt thier huntin day. I believe a Nap is order, my Friday is over
