  1. Mornin' all. Hang in there all you East coasters. This too (the snow storm) will pass. We get blasted like that every couple of years and are usually up and running in 12 to 24 hours. For us, the worst of it is side streets and subdivisions, not main thoroughfares since we have the equipment to manage snow. Hope there's at least an element of 'drama' in the forecasts so it's more manageable for you. Back in a bit .... Happy Friday.

  2. Should have jumped on the scale before and after, just to know how full of it you were. Maby a few bran muffins just before drinking that liquid, it would have cleaned you out like Drano cleans a pipe !

  3. I stop at 7-11 on the way to work...the largest coffee cup is 20 oz I believe. Now, if you want a soda, they have a pony keg with handles. I was making fun of it one day and this guy next to me says, “I bought one of those.”

  8. Carl, I always knew that they liked you more. Nobody was giving me nice comments the other night and morning while i was stuck in the bathroom. At 4:30 in the morning, a guy could use some encouragement. You really didn't need any encouragement you had that liquid encouragement to push things along, and you couldn't have stopped it.

  14. Thanks guys. I appreciate the complements. It has been fun working with my friends and especially my Dad to finish this project. I just can't work very long at a time and need help figuring things out more than before. At least I can still make sawdust, just at a much slower pace.

  16. Hello Steve! Glad the procedure is over for you. They confirmed I had diverticula in my procedure. Nice to have that information in case of some pains later on that are elusive. Diverticulitis is the result of diverticula. Think I am right... Not suppose to eat small seedy foods or the like that can get lodged in the cavities. Maybe they just found a minimal bit of diverticula. In any case, I have foods that may not pass their list with no problem, so far.Good question for the doctor. Good fortune to you, as always and no pony kegs here, lol!

  20. Morning all..... Man oh man am I tired....I was working on the tractor putting the snowblower on it till 1:00 in the morning....it's a pain working on stuff at my house in the garage...I'm spoiled with the shop....got the blower part on .......this morning I'll put on the cab... Yea we looking at a big storm hitting us...we are in the Nothern part of MD... calling for 16"-24" so far... When we get a lot of snow like this we prep the lot at the shop...the used car guys take all there cars around the back of the shop... After I snowblow my drive way at my house, I plan on loading up my tractor and taking it to the shop...the one used car guy is also going to bring his tractor/blower in.... We don't really have a true four wheel drive vehicle... I have my old CRV... I hook my little trailer to it... it does "ok" ...but I don't have a real truck... Back in the day long before the shop at the old house, all me and wife drove were Toyota Landcruiser's... we never did our drive way... the wife had her 77 FJ-40 with 35" Swamper's and I had my 77 FJ-40 with 34" swamper's.... my truck did the best in deep snow..the tire's were 34" tall but only 9.5" wide....that thing would "blaze" though the snow... to top it off the family ride was a 86 FJ-60 Criuse wagon...Man those were the days....oh well... OK gang I should be doing something....let me get to it... a good day to all... MKP :-)

  21. Finishing second cup now. Speaking of cups what do you consider a cup of coffee. I used to make half a pot every morning, that was about 3 cups for me. Now with this Kruerig it doesn't even fill my cups on the large setting. Apparently most people don't consider a 16 oz cup a cup of coffee. A little quote from last night. People: "why start in Omaha Ne?" Ozzy: "why the F&%K not!!" I could have gone to work today, however it turned out I needed to have a new spring installed on the garage door. Normally I would do it myself, however the builder installed a Wayne Dalton garage door and spring. Which turns out to be cheap junk. So I am having a complete new spring system installed UGH. This will set me back about $500.00, next will be the door later this year, as it was mangled a little when the spring got jammed. Oh well the perks of being a home owner, I wouldn't have it any other way. I guess I will take the day to listen to music and do home work. Works for me. Peace, Love, and Coffee!!!

  29. If I did that here they would probably arrest me for being insane, there are no snowblowers probably within 500 miles or more of here. It's 72 right now, but 80% chance of rain tonight.

  34. A huge winter storm is on it's way to the southeast and east coast, maybe the biggest storm EVER for DC, Philly, New York/Jersey…etc. 24"+ of snow is forecasted for DC! They're predicting a lot of power outages. I hope everyone in it's path stays safe and warm. Hopefully the media is just over-hyping this event.

  42. I would disagree Dave New, Jubilee is cheaper than new Klipschorns, yet sounds better to my ears! A k-69 / K-402 sitting on top of a used MWM Double bin is a lot cheaper than jubilee and trumps the Jubilee in sound. I have less in the actual KP-600 stacks than I did in my used klipschorns, yet I sold my klipschorns in a second when I first heard the KP-600s Exceptions to everything ;0 roger

  43. The CF-2's were the first Klipsch speakers I heard and I was blown away! My quest began! I started with RF-3's, then went to the KLF-30's and 20's. I never was really satisfied with those speakers, great rock speakers but they were too bass shy. I eventually found some CF-4's in the local paper for sale, and I was anxious to see what version they were. I called the owner and asked him what length the ports were, and he told me 5", and I was immediately excited to get over and audition them!!! I was blown away when I auditioned them. I purchased the pair that day. I spoke with Roy about the history of the epics and about some mods I was thinking of doing to the horns with dampening. He suggested that I look into getting the newer version horns that have glass in the material make up vs the all plastic material used in the 1st versions. So I did and I applied acoustic dampening spray that I purchased from parts express followed by applying lots of rope caulk to the complete outer area of the horns. Those mods removed a lot of the "hollow tap" sound. That was back in 2005 and I have been happy them ever since. Last winter I decided to upgrade the crossover caps and resistors. That mod was probably the best mod I had ever done to the speakers. I have them paired with a McIntosh MC352 and find them extremely smooth and transparent sounding, with plenty of bass that is not over emphasized. It's really good to see a thread for the epic speakers because they truly are Epic!!!

  44. This is what most people think but the truth is something total different. It's the size of the sound not the volume, almost any midsize speaker can get stupid loud but it will still sound like a midsize speaker. I didn't know the difference either until I heard large speakers, or certain large speakers. We use large speakers but rarely go over 50-75 db, but the sound is huge.

  47. I saw this sweet 1996 De Rosa Primato, just my size, hanging among some crappy mountain bikes in a local second hand sports shop couple years ago. Full original Campy Record Ti group. Didn't even haggle on the price ($550). It had no issues at all but I did freshen it up a bit. New rubber, cables, hoods, leather seat, leather bar wrap, found correct pedals in great shape on ebay and presto - this bike has a soul. I laced up some semi-aero NOS Campy clincher rims (and a set of tubulars as well) since I took the pictures so it is now 100% Italian goodness.. This beauty comes to me when I whistle, pedals itself, and beautiful women throw underwear at me when ride by. I like the tramp stamp.
