Had a fun weekend in Lafayette LA , last night everyone almost hurt ourselves eating. About 15 of us were invited about 30 minutes SW of Lafayette la to a farmers house, he farms over 3000 acres of crawfish and rice. He boiled 6 sacks of crawfish while we were there but started before we got there. Everyone ate until we were about to pop, he did a great job seasoning them, progressively getting hotter. It was a good time but I wouldn't want his job, he has 11,000 traps to run but says the rice is much more work.6 points

Melted fuses are normally caused by a bad (loose or dirty) contact between the fuse and the holder. Resistance = heat.4 points

I can't get my foot in a shoe so I have a sandal on the left side today. It's all bandaged up but I'm having to put folded up paper towels between my toe and the sandal to absorb what the bandage won't hold. Walking is slow at best.4 points

Please, we will take your word for it, I completely trust you, just no pics. Hope it gets better quick, how is the pain, hard to walk ?4 points

Decided to blow the dust of my 30's tonight....and everything else apparently. Couldn't resist flicking the switch on for the subs. Wow, these Tubas have some serious nuts. Combined with the 30's Metallica was just in my living room. Fricken awesome. Just like old times, the clock was bouncing on the wall. Reminds me of how many clocks I used to go through not to mention velcroing everything down to keep from flying off the shelves when I had 6 subs in here. So yeah, scratch what I said about not needing subs. Well, not at normal levels.....but when you wanna rock out, the more/bigger the subs the better. [emoji14] Man, that was awesome. Now I need to get my hearing back.... Sent from my SM-G920R4 using Tapatalk4 points

Hopefully the nail removal will keep the flow of yellow puss to a minimum. I've gone through smashed fingers and toes more than I ever wanted.3 points

Yes it did. I took a picture of it this morning and even I don't want to look at it again. Pretty grodie. Looks like special effects because nothing in real life should look that gross.3 points

While searching to confirm my suspicion that the photo shows Natalie Wood, I ran across several other photos showing Natalie to be a vinylphile. The Jimi photo was too interesting to not include it. Who knew he listened to Bob Dylan?2 points

We have these things called tornado sirens mounted on telephone poles. They scare the tornados away I think. Sometimes they go off 30 minutes after the bad weather passes. Sometimes they don't go off. Nowhere to hide anyway. We never had them in the old days. I don't know how we survived. But if I lived in Kansas I would definitely have a cement room somewhere. On Saturday I replaced my 150,000-mile-old 2009 Mercury Milan V6 with a 2017 Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid. Much more quick, smooth and nimble than the Milan. Mid-size luxurious, with all the bells-and-whistles. And I know this is heresy, but the Bose factory sound system is a definite step up from the "Moon & Tune" factory system in the Mercury. As a bonus, it looks like I'll be able to fit my (large) drumset in it (though I'm not disassembling it just to find out). I just need to have an electrician install a dedicated 120V circuit & all-weather outlet so I can slow-charge it in my driveway. (Before you ask, this is Southern California — almost no one parks their cars in their garage. I converted my garage into a recording studio back in 2002.) My employer is installing fast-charging stations at the building where I work. So for now it's burning gas to run the generator and electric motor, but soon I'll be able to make it to work and home again (110 miles total) on two full charges plus just a bit of gas. Should save me about $250 a month at current gas prices.2 points
