  2. After them I changed to Mott The Hoople, any idea what does it mean ? and finally ......Chase was an American jazz-rock band. On August 9, 1974, Chase was traveling by plane to Minnesota for a gig at the Jackson County Fair when they ran into bad weather - in the subsequent crash, Bill Chase died along with band members Wally Yohn, John Emma and Walter Clark, and their two pilots were also killed

  8. @MicroMara I'd be totally lost in a place like that. Must be why Starbucks is such a rip-off in the US. People, for the most part, are clueless.

  17. You can find K-55m’s and k-77’s fairly easy on eBay or maybe a member here has an extra set. Post a wanted add in the garage sale section. I would recommend buying from a Klipsch member first.

  19. Be aware, the level controls on the DSP are NOT tone controls, they are gain controls. They are meant to be used when you are using different amplifiers with different gains for HF and LH, for example using tubes for HF and solid state for LF. If the amps for HF and LF are identical, the controls should be at the same position on both. I asked Klipsch Chief Engineer Roy Delgado (@Chief bonehead here on the Forum) about this. He said since I'm using identical amps to just set both gain controls to the 12 o'clock position.

  20. No, RSA or RSL something. One of the boxes got sent from TX to FL to NC to VA (40 mi from me); to TN to TX to FL to NC to me and it was broken by then! FedEx is the best in the SE USA! The former usps the worst.

  22. All those songs from abacab? were played so much everywhere back in the 90s that I couldn't listen to it anymore for a while. It was a well done release though... for pop music. I'm up and running again until the replacement hits in a couple weeks... and it will sound very different in here at that point!

  27. Welcome back! A pre-amp isn’t going to give you anything you’re looking for. Looking at the specs of your receiver, make sure Eco mode is turned off. If you have tone controls turn them up and see if that helps.

  28. First thing I've always done with older Klipsch with networks like that is loosen then tighten every screw on the network board. This will remove years of oxidation and give a much better signal path to all the components. Try that first and see if anything changes.

  34. I think I'm ready to try a SET amp. I'm looking at the ASL "Tulip" which puts out 3.2w/ch. Would this be enough for my RF-35? I sit about 12ft away from each speaker. I listen to everything from soft vocals to death metal. I know that you guys get great results using SET's with the Heritage line but I haven't heard anyone using the RF line with SET amps. I like to listen to my music at realistic levels. Probably 80db cont and a little over 100db peak. Thanks Maurice

  35. Yeah, I noticed that. We also have Tung Sol from Russia too:). I've never heard NOS power tubes. Real Mullard is too much $ for me:(.

  36. I was comparing specs of these two speakers. I own the 35 and love them. I was wondering if installing x-overs from the 82 into my 35 would improve the sound. Both models use the same woofers according to the specs but it doesn't mention which tweeter is used in the horns for the 82. HF is crossed at 2000Hz for RF-82 and 2600Hz for the RF-35. Is this a good or bad idea?
