  1. Yea, I use mine for weighing bullets....
  2. Very nice unit, I think you will really like it. The direct drive is sweet, and it is very stable. Enjoy.
  3. I guess I'm confused....no surprise there....but you say you want to move to "bigger and better" yet then ask about lower end Marantz. If you mainly listen to music, keep your Yamaha for an HT setup, and get a tube amp for 2 channel. What speakers are you driving mostly for music?
  4. Ah yes, here we go again....I really wish you would take your rude, selfish, personal attack attitude elsewhere....I really don't care how long you've supposedly been here, how much stuff you own, how much money your have, or how many "posts" you have, I for one would breathe a sigh of relief knowing that I could post or read other posts that didn't contain your excrement. There. I said it.
  5. for the price, I will take them in Pink!
  6. Thank you sir, but perhaps I should have stated that we were looking for more of the vintage logos, rather than the new ones....That is a nice resource, and I downloaded all of the files for future reference. Here's a couple of relatively low res images of what I'm interested in...These are not included in the current branding files.
  7. I feel your pain, I really do.....
  8. Calibrate it yourself with the Spears and Munsil disk. Very easy, very comprehensive, very good.
  9. Would love to see some photos. Better repair advice after that for sure!!
  10. Another forum member and I are trying to put together some hi resolution photos or drawings of various Klipsch logos/badges (hopefully with accompanying measurements) so that we may install them on our own speakers that are missing the badges. I have absolutely no intention of selling these....and since it seems almost impossible to find any "genuine" badges nowadays, it has been suggested to me to gather these photos/drawings and measurements and take them to a good trophy/awards shop to see if they will reproduce them. Is there a central source for these items here on the forum or elsewhere? Or do folks have a few files stored on their PC's?? Mainly looking (right now) for the Industrial badges and the Klipsch Professional badges, and then, anything else. Can anyone assist here? Thanks.
  11. Two pair of the birch cabs in one day on the forum...? They are pretty darn cool lookin, don't see that everyday. I do have an observation and a question...to me, they still look like aluminum straight pieces and stainless corners? Yea/Nay? maybe?
  12. We actually don't have to be precise, we just throw it up there and see who catches it..... In all seriousness, at that price I would snap them up in a second, if I lived closer, of course...
  13. I have a PN64F8500. Have not seen any of the other series you mention, and honestly, don't care to. The 8500 is a stunner.
  14. wow, the Google "which state is this city in" search must not be working today.....
  15. Speaking of Chinese amps/preamps, etc..... I have a Qinpu A-6000 MKII as a (very small) part of my system, and I have used it to power everything from KG 1.5's to Heresy's to Cornwalls. I use it mostly for testing, but also for a quick set up, and take out to the backyard or garage. It is well built, looks nice, and sounds nice for what it is. I have not used it as a headphone amp, so can't comment on that. I did change the tubes after receiving the stock unit as the included tubes were somewhat noisy. Pretty good buy for about $249.00. http://www.amazon.com/Qinpu-A-6000-Integrated-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B0057OI448/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
  16. Interested to see what you decide, I'm sure it will be fun!!
  17. no affil http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/ele/4670562234.html
  18. $300 for the KG 5.5's is a great deal. Some youngster can get a great head start on the lifelong addiction at a terrific price!!
  19. 20 bucks? for real? somebody needs to snap these up!!
  20. Just took a look at the Mapleshade web site. He builds some beautiful stuff....
  21. And of course you don't need a physical connection between your NAS and Oppo to stream your music/movies/etc. Oppo will discover them on the network, as well as your PC's, laptops....
  22. Best to start your own thread and include lots of photos and asking price would be good....OR, just PM the OP.....
