  1. Okay one more since it was already in the photo thread an Antique hand carved solid hard wood (not palm) Hawaiian Tiki. I am pretty sure it's the symbol for fertility. and a set of Lichtenstein Screen Prints in the background.
  2. here is another... I designed and tufted this custom 100% wool Rug. it's supposed to hang on the wall, but is on my floor right now.
  3. Does anyone remember the "loudness" button.
  4. you're not going to be able to "LISTEN" to a comparison over the internet... you may however be able to watch someone talk about a comparison.

    Dobly Atmos

Both Pioneer and Onkyo unveiled there Dolby Atmos home reveivers... your thoughts on these?
  12. What, are you nuts??? How long have you been married, a week???? NEVER tell your wife how much you need to spend, they don't think that way. You have to talk the way THEY talk, not the way WE think. TELL HER the replacement cross overs are needed because the old ones are not safe, they are known to catch on fire, especially while you are sleeping. Even if they are unplugged. Then tell her they are regularly $1500 bucks, but because you know "a guy," you can get them for only $575, but you have to get them before he sells them to someone else. Tell her (and this is the most important part) that you can SAVE a thousand bucks, but you have to act, now! She will write you the check for that $575, and tell you she'll take over your job of mowing the yard so you have the time to go pick that safety equipment. Steve, go get those cross overs, now, before your wife leaves you for making her unsafe! You can thank me later. I like the way this guy thinks!
  13. awesome Dean... do you really need to do CC directly when Pay Pal or Google Wallet is around?
  14. so you're not trying to attenuate the belle itself but the belle in relation to the other items in your network? because at the pre pro you would have 24 (@+/-12)steps would you not?
  15. Let's not forget that the PCB was a direct result of the Apollo program... and while all the things you mention are true, the program used them in part because of the resistance to shock.
  16. I just look forward to a 2" mid range for ease and openness
  17. BB's simply one of the best for me in that same category... the notations are very complicated and he executes them so perfectly and with such ease... they almost look easy.
  18. Nicely made. It's one of those pieces which has a crafter's aesthetic to it as well as maybe being a nice sounding amplifier too. I however, don't believe this is usually a good deal for consumers. It's not the way I like to play it. Paying a little guy to sit and route wires is a total extravagance. Like buying a hand made car. I don't think that is really what we're talking about here at all. this point is not a discussion about design or build quality from a price point sensitive perspective, this was merely pointing out the care that was taken to lay out a wiring harness correctly. That clean layout show's respect, care and exhibits a quality for the customer's amplifier that a rats nest of wiring simply can not. Does it take more time, planning and is a SLIGHTLY more costly because of this, of course... but it's not a Timex vs Patek Phillipe. it's more akin to a Timex built in a factory in Ohio and a Timex built in a studio in Japan.
