  1. well then... that 179$ looks like an great deal then at that price point. just make sure that pulley does not wobble when you get it and you should be good to go.
  2. get that one one five at or around 600$ and be happy... they kick arse very hard if you want it to. I have mine tuned to only slightly kick my arse.
  3. for sure... tempting, if I actually had any wood working skills
  4. if they simply took the time to add a third shaft pulley to support 78 rpm's, I'd already have one of these as a second to my rega... I know it won't break any sound competition records, but it seems like a great entry into the hobby! ^this is the most significant question... remember to factor in the cartridge price
  5. ^I for one... am curious what this all even means. in for an answer.
  6. I've been actively seeking out 45rpm Albums lately... Peter Gabriel has several as does RadioHead
  7. Better safe than sorry... I fully understand. But if someone doesn't buy these asap, there is something seriously wrong around here.
  8. there wasn't anything new shown at the Vegas show was there?
  9. those look like they would be a good LF section for a 402 horn...
  10. thank you for sharing that... they always go back to roots music. I would like to hear other styles.
  11. that is the craziest thing I have heard...
  12. DUDE... your posting here instead of listening to them? get on the ball man. crank them up
  13. The speakers are not made of Sugar... let them rip! Clean power is WAY BETTER than big power
  14. great... get it and let us hear back as to how it is working out. you can always resell those dynavectors and step up later if you want to, they hold value fairly well. I am in the middle of putting together a mono system and am toying with the idea of picking up that single Klipschorn for sale in the sale section just for this set up... so I will be cart shopping sometime in the near future
  15. I had a momentary lapse of reason before I moved to a bigger house last year and put them up for sale. So, Schu, why didn't you buy them then? You had your chance and it's too late. You are right, they are RARELY for sale because they are the best and people don't like to part with them unless there are extenuating circumstances involved. I didn't because I had a momentary lapse of reason when they WERE up for sale I do want a set eventually, but I have to figure out what LF section I would want to use and bla bla bla... you know, it's not something to rush in to, specially since I am really happy right now where I am at.
  16. those are precisely the two I would have recommended for you in that comfort zone.
  17. that ^ is f*cking awesome... where do I get mids and upper HF channels like that? I RARELY see them for sale.
  18. you'll never know until you try it. some... SS amplifiers are a compromise because they are engineered to do MANY THINGS. I think you would be closer to the truth if you were using SS Monoblock amps. .03%THD of the ati is not outstanding... some SS amplifiers are well below .005%THD. it would be great if you had some friends with whom you could try different set ups prior to making another investment.
  19. that looks fairly accurate depending on room requirements/layout that's just a guide, as no two rooms are exactly alike.
  20. For sure a Three way is going to bring that vinyl to life and you will probably never look back from that.
