So does JEM do a full crossover replacement slapped on a slab of wood like Bob was doing? Mine are already done....just curious. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Are we still talking nipples here? No? Ok, I gotta go.... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I think 'Evil Nipples' is the name of Metallica's new live album. Something like that.... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

My concern is mainly about years from now. At this point I don't think anyone has that answer but it's got to be in the back of everyone's mind. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

It's a genuine concern of mine but I'll admit that I'm not as well informed as I should/could be. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I had a pair of Forte ll's once.....swore they were the worst sounding speaker I ever owned. Sold them to a guy that had pretty much evey type of Heritage speaker in his house. When I delivered the Forte ll's he had his K-horns playing powered by a 200 watt Carver amp. To me it sounded very forgettable. Nothing to write home about. In fact, it sounded pretty sad.....but anyway........ He hooked up the Forte ll's to the same amp plopped down right in front of the K-horns. At that moment, those Forte ll's sounded phenomenal. Better than the K-horns. Beats the hell outta me but that's how it went down. So there's that.[emoji39] Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Yeah that's why it's in the cave.....but actually it's not quite as obnoxious looking in person as it is in most pics. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Thought I'd play with one of these and compare it to the Schiit Loki.... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

That's interesting. It's been my experience with 30's that they want good two channel equipment to sound their best.....and frankly, sounded like a joke with AVR recievers. Especially Denon. RF-7's on the other hand did ok with AVR recievers. My ears were bleeding.....but they did ok. Excellent for movies though. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I can't escape the fact that when I really want to get into the music....and I mean the music as well as the sound quality....I always lean towards the rich, warm sound I get from my tube amps. In my main listening room I have it set up so that I use the same speakers but my equipment rack/shelves are loaded with tube and solid state gear. A simple flip flop of a couple wires and I can make the change depending on mood, type of music or whatever. I typically start off with solid state. Usually I stick with solid state but when the mood strikes.....usually later into the night but not neccesarily.....I'll switch over to tubes and I just appreciate it that much more. Sometimes I'm more into the snappier sound from solid state and sometimes it's more about the sweet, warm laid back sound of tubes. If I had to go back strictly to one or the other......man, I don't even want to think about it LOL. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Yes, my first grandchild. I just have one daughter. I raised her by myself and with her getting married this time last year (to a great guy) and now following through with their plan to have a child I'm feeling very proud of her. They've really got their act together. However I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about raising a child in this day and age.....can't help it. It's a gut feeling but I'm confident they will be excellent role models/examples for their child. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

If you can do both a ss system and a tube system I say go for it. I have both and love it. Keeps me on my toes. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Bob helped me out a great deal over the years like he did so many others here. A genuinely good person and will be missed. RIP Bob. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

That's cool. I noticed an improvement going with Vidar mono-blocks vs just one in stereo. Not sure if it's the added power or if it's the fact that the channels are now seperated in separate chassis but it was definitely worth getting the second Vidar IMO. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
