  1. Welcome & there is no bad Klipsch - you did fine.
  2. You are a brave soul Mike.[] Meagain is hungover & Amy is frustrated but I bet these ladies work it out.
  3. Charlieboy, You having some of your children with you will help. You will get the routine worked out in time. Surround yourself with a couple of friends you really trust. Thinking of you.
  4. I enjoyed the commentary track as well.
  5. Fini I'm on my 3rd lab. One expired. One stolen. My current pooch is a 5yr old female. She is the smartest, sweetest, most loyal dog I have been around. Try again. When you find the right one it will quickly become a loving member of the family. I ran across that show Amy mentioned. What Ceaser does with dogs is incredible. btw - when I meet a dog for the first time I try to pet them from ground up to under chin instead of hand coming down on top of their head. If they can follow your hand they may not think you are going to hit them. Some unfortunately have been abused. John
  6. Does this happen alot around here? I am at the point where I only trust the validity of 10 - 15 longtime posters for audio advice.
  7. Uh - the good Dr. is offering wise advice, albeit probably not popular.
  8. Wow - a 1st post sans question. Greetings to you & welcome to the board. It's fairly gentle around this place until you venture into 2 channel land[]
  9. Colter is right - put some glass or something protective on their tops. remembering my college days it was way to easy for stumbling drunks to put drinks on top.
  10. Happy Easter everyone! Jesus Christ has indeed risen. Hallelujah. off to the golf course
  11. yeah JT I think I want a pair of those also. I wonder how much difference there is to the rb5's.
  12. Brokenarrow I have a hk 7200 in a 2nd system that has started turning itself up occasionally. Tech support told me the volume control is bad. If you search the audio forums there are a lot of threads on this topic. It is very annoying & I no longer feel safe leaving the unit on when I leave the room. JT
  13. Jay This is your 21st B'day. Get the hell off the computer and go party. JT
  14. Agreed - a real engaging story I wasn't familiar with
  15. Thoughts and prayers are with you Bob. Get well soon. Dee - if he is at the Heart Hospital those guys are very good.
  16. KathyMason and KlipsDude are the same person. I suppose i'm dense but I had no idea this was the same person. Why would someone do this? Do they get some sort of perverse joy out of their posts? I don't understand and it is counter-productive to anyone trying to learn audio. JT
  17. For anyone interested I just bought the Belkin Leok mentions based on his reccommendation. I bought mine w/ ship for $57. http://www.costcentral.com/proddetail/Belkin_Isolator_with_Power_Filter_Technology/F5C980TEL/030460/
  18. Just couldn't resist could you Todd. JT
  19. Lisa you are relentless. I'm having a helluva good time following your pursuits. I'm also learning a good bit, at least the parts I understand. JT
  20. Jay I won't remember so happy b'day on the 8th.
  21. Excellent post Bill. Thank You for the reminder. JT
  22. This morning I bought five 4ft rca interconnects from Blue Jeans. Cost me $83 with shipping. They shipped this afternoon.
  23. I had an h/k receiver (AVS 55) a while back that used to run its volume all the way up sometimes on its own without me touching anything. I have also read quite a few of reports of other people having the same exact problem with their h/k receivers. But if that was the case with you, you would have seen the volume # going towards -0dB, not staying at -79dB (almost muted). Agreed. I had the same experience with my H/K 7200 two weeks ago. Tech support said it was a bad volume control. I'm now afraid to leave the house with it on so i've ordered separates. JT
