The situation is this. I have a 4 zone stereo preamp/streamer and I want one of the "zones" to be for a sub. I have a single voice coil sub. Naturally I don't want one "side" to feed the sub. Is there a problem using a Y adapter from the pre-outs to the mono amp? I seem to remember some weirdness when I tried something similar when playing break music thru a PA but honestly don't remember what I rigged up that day.
This is for an outdoor setup
Thanks for the input
They will run forever. I've had a pair hanging on a completely exposed wall (west-southwest exposure, no shade) since 2012. They sound as good as the day I bought them. Amazing speakers.
I have a 2100 and it is a great receiver. I have used it for 2.1 for TV watching plus zone 2 for outdoors for quite a while. Good clean power and great functionality.
A fine amp and a good price. I almost got that one but THE Parasound dealer had a JC5 for a price I couldn't refuse. Parasound is a fantastic company and they really have it all figured out.
Received the Amp yesterday. Thanks Jim I appreciate the very quick turnaround. It was awesome doing business with you. Now to see how this thing runs a pair of RSW 15s....
If you can find an Onkyo 5509 for a good price grab it. I do 7.1 (.2 if that's really a thing) and honestly it's a fantastic machine. Since I have no interest is atmos I will run this thing until it dies. It really does sound very good. I just adjust the levels with an spl meter but I think it has the better room correction dealio that was available.
I'm in Charleston, SC. The speaker is in St Petersburg, FL I've been meaning to go get it for darn near a year it seems. My buddy is going to start charging me rent....
Not jumping the train rather trying to help. I have a single very similar to those that I probably never use. It's a +1 that would give someone 2 pair.
Those are really nice. I have a pair of L19s that I love, even though they get very little use. Same tweeter I believe and it really is a good one. Glad you're not close 😀
Nice. I'm in Charleston and have been working in Florida down to Boca Raton and will hopefully working across I4 to Tampa. Not sure when but I could help someone in that area possibly
