  1. I would ditch that SVS in a heartbeat. There’s no way it’s going to be able to keep up with the output of Jubilees.
  2. How high does the gain go? What are you using for a receiver?
  3. Yes, just put something in between them so they don’t scratch each other. I stacked Heresy IIs on SVS SB-2000s with excellent results.

  5. Where did you learn math?
  6. Make sure you zero in on something of “hers” that you find to be too big and make her downsize that as well. Weeding ring? Shoes/clothes? Etc
  7. Personally I’d look for a new sub. Plate amps can be difficult to match to an existing sub.
  8. Burnt caps/swollen caps/loose solder connections/etc. Hopefully if there are any caps in question you'll be able to read the values printed on them to get replacements.
  9. Nope. Best thing to do is listen to them loud and often.
  10. Common problem with sub amps when they’re failing. You’ll have to pull the amp and see if any capacitors look bad or other obvious things. The amp probably overheated if it was plugged in and left on for that long. I’ve seen working Sub-12 models go for $50-75 on Facebook so even a replacement wouldn’t be that expensive.
  11. Yes, ARC is definitely not allowing the same bandwidth as eARC.
  12. I just checked, I’m just over 10,000. I need to get a life.
  13. First thing I've always done with older Klipsch with networks like that is loosen then tighten every screw on the network board. This will remove years of oxidation and give a much better signal path to all the components. Try that first and see if anything changes.
  14. Something in the setup or settings is very wrong if the speakers sound terrible and they sound very low with the volume turned all the way up. Most Klipsch are over 90dB sensitive with 1 watt of input so 65 watts would be ear piercing loud.
  15. I actually did that last year…had my 5 Heresys on the stage, set to All Chanel Stereo in my receiver. Sounded great also!
  16. Well the KLFs certainly did the job well. Tons of bass and the midrange and treble sounded great also. Everyone said the music was great.
  17. SRB stands for Slanted Riser Base and that it came that way from the factory. Does the single have a slanted riser?
  18. Guess it’s becoming an annual thing. A friend of ours works at the Holiday Inn in town and they have a building they call The Barn that they rent out for receptions and parties. I’ll be using my best friends KLF-30s. Laptop connected to my receiver for High-Res audio. Set up in my main floor living room to give everything a test run.

    What I Got Today!

Awesome. I would love to be able to be in Hope for the eclipse!
  20. Wanted to follow up on this, but with a twist. I'm DJ'ing a dance tonight, small get together with about 75 friends. I connected my laptop's HDMI output to my Sony receiver that can play High-Res audio files. Through HDMI the laptop synced up to my receiver and is able to play 24 bit/192kHz High-Res audio. I downloaded all the music I'm going to play through Amazon Music in the highest quality format available. I did a test run last night and everything is working great and sounds awesome. BTW, I'll be using my best friend's KLF-30s for the dance. He bought them a little over 10 years ago for $500. They've seen a little wear on the cabinets but still sound awesome. I'm really looking forward to cranking up the volume at the dance.
  21. If you have at least 1, as was mentioned above just bring the one you have to a hardware store and they’ll be able to match it up.
  22. Welcome to the forum. I’m not sure why so many new members post in this section, as you can see by its description it’s for technical questions relating to the forum itself such as having trouble logging in, etc.
  23. I agree with 1MoreFord, you’ll see a dramatic difference if you upgrade your center speaker first.
  24. There’s a flipper in the Minneapolis area who has had the same pair of bookshelf speakers and a center speaker for sale for at least 5 years. Pretty comical. He relists them every week or so. Has never lowered the prices. Guess he isn’t in too much of a hurry to sell them.
