  1. Thanks... I have been in here, just not as much now that most everything is done Stereo or HT Wise. . I have been busy at home with work and family life with two little ones who are just now back in school. Along with their activities, like soccer, dance, and gymnastics. BTW, I am now the new soccer coach for the little guy too! (So far, so good!) I am also enjoying the HT with them, and were about to get into COLTS NFL FOOTBALL season. The NFL is awesome in High Def! Thanks for replying though, I lost my log on when I switched computers for about 30 days, I got it back, thanks to AMY too. It's good to be missed!! The Wall Street market is better since March 2009, I hope it continues too. Maybe, for now, I am doing what I am supposed to be doing. Working hard, playing with the kids, enjoying family life.. and stopping in here occasionally too. I will make it a point not to get too far away from here, and add some wisdom (LOL Like I know anything better than most of you in here) most call it BS, lol now and then. Be good, be safe, and ttyl.
  2. This is a great example of if you use the wide dispersion sides and rears, you can really make the room "FEEL" much bigger than it is...
  3. Roger, For the rear or side surrounds, just use a split la scala top.. u will be fine.
  4. WOW!!! It's gonna rock!!! Look into the THX 120 subs to match that system, too, with the ka 1000 amp.
  5. You mean David Lee Roth's voice had no special effects on it? And Eddie Van Halen's guitar had no effects either??? Oh the shame!!!! (Still singing in the shower one day at a time!) Yes auto pitch is used everywhere...On comericials, on cd's, in concert. Big Deal?? Nope... A singer dancing around on stage sings over the vocals if the signal is strong enough it over rides the main track vocals. If not, or if the sound man feels it is sub standard (Singer is sick, vocals suck, just can't hit the high notes anymore that night, the vocal track over rides it.) Now you know the real secret!! Usually, a few songs are always live. Sometimes it is really apparant when the singer talks between songs...LOL But every singer has a signature sound with certain identifiable effects as well. Think of every Sting, Paul McCartney, Seal, Genisis, Clapton, etc etc or who ever is your favorite vocalist "sound" if it is unique they keep that their whole life. And the secret to that combination of effects and the artist him or herself brings that magic to the music we all love!
  6. They look beautiful!!! What do you think sound wise? (The most important thing of course!!)
  7. One thing I've learned spending time in this hobby is that everyone's tastes are different. Yes, I agree. LOL Sometimes it is painful to listen to what someone else loves through PWK's speakers.... Music choice is funny indeed!
  8. Happy Birthday Indeed! Made me smile, thinking of you too!
  9. I have been here a long time as well, and my post numbers do seem staggering, (to many) but really I feel are in balance too. I am about 2.7 posts a day. Sure some are long and detailed when helping others or trying to LOL. Some posts are very short one liner answers or congrats too. Some came in droves when I built my HT too. I am down a lot since that project is now complete, and enjoying the hard work with my family too. The key is balance. Here is to you finding that in life. Enjoy the music. That's why your here!
  10. It is really worth it. I use one in my bedroom system. The KV 4 was a little too boomy for me. The KV 3 can be pretty seamless to any number of speakers.
  11. Look at Twisteds picture in his avatar. If done right, your k horns could, and should, look like this too. (OK, with better looking wood!) If they do, like he said, you can easily see where you "could" point them out or into your sweet spot into any room you wish!
  12. It will sound fantastic... Make sure that everything is sealed. The back can be a little tricky you will see when you get it off. Again add supports and you should be fine. BTW, Paul at one time did this as well. The added cost, and the weight to ship was the reason it was not done in production. Adding backs assures that it is in fact 100% correct (OK, maybe in my opinion) to the original idea. Food for thought! Again if you ever hear a TSCM bottom, you will understand what your missing! A TSCM is a k horn bottom with wings.
  13. use 3/4" 7 ply void free baltic birtch. also use supports.. glue n screw.. make it air tight, or everything your doing is worthless... If you can make them go all the way out to the front of the K horn like wings (LOL) even better.. Then you can point them wherever u want.. They will really be nice when done.... MAJOR improvement.. Think of a TSCM bottom... look it up.. u will see a k horn with wings...
  14. splits worked for me... ahhhh NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNnIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  15. you know that ka 1000 thx amp and the THX subs.. 120's do a great match too... hehehehehehe
  16. For music, you may not need it at all. A lot depends on what kind of music you listen to and at what volume too? That said, all home theaters need a decent sub... Period!
  17. You will be fine with them for sure.. If you use them with a sub for HT you will REALLY love them!
  18. Ovation Audio in Castleton Square. Go to the rear of the stereo store, in the movie theater demo room... And ENJOY!
  19. Why not "Klipsch Fans"? I know I am IndyKlipschFan..... but everyone will get the idea of the section right off of the name! Name it something weird, then we are perceived as weird too. K.I.S.S.
  20. Nola, (Brian) Now that you heard the results, I am sure your confident it is a great unit for anyones system! Glad to see you last weekend!
