Can't say for sure what the "go to" tubes are for that model. The Jan Philips is a nice sold set of 12AX7's.

  3. Too many gear options, too many models. Emotiva is going to ElementalDesigns themselves.
  4. AP12-500s for sale. I upgraded to ES500's so now these are for sale. Looking for Sold! Al's current lead time is nearly 3 months, just as an FYI. I had to wait this long for my new ES crossovers. (It was totally worth it though!)

A!UC's threads are always good for a laugh. Over / Under on when those Platdiums will be for sale?
  6. I bid within the last 10 seconds, that way if I get outbid, I'm not tempted to go above what I'm willing to spend on the item. Also, it prevents anyone from having enough time to up their bid as well. Exactly what I do...
  7. I have crackling on my Jurassic Park Blu-Ray. I can repeat it on numerous other places, not just my system.
  8. Is it bad that I think my MC240 is "high powered" for my Cornscalas?
  9. Is it strange that I'm getting turned on by the thought of 4 RSW-15s?
  10. Question for you all. I'm currently using the squeezebox app volume control, to control the volume of my 2 channel system. I was always under the impression that I should have the volume all the way up on the source, but the MC240 is a TON of amp for my Cornscalas. If I introduced a device like this into the mix, would that be a gain in sound quality?
  11. For the love of pete, DO NOT state what your source is until you are looking at the horns in your house.
  12. Market is about 300 for them. Hell of a lot of speaker for the money. Any reference other than the real wood veneer variety, will not hold their value.
  13. Walnut Laq, not sure on year. I spoke with the person, they were her brothers. I don't have room for them even at this price. They do look a bit rough, but would probably clean up easy. Number Removed by request of new owner. Located in Cedar Rapids, IA. Go get them, they have been alerted.
  14. I ran just Home depot 14 AWG wire all over the basement for the home theater. Upstairs, the wire is a little different. Decided to go with silver wire instead of just the run of the mill wire. Didn't get anything too crazy expensive, but the sound IMO of course, did improve from my old monoprice cords.
  15. Do these people look into what could be a good price? 3000 for CF-1s? WTF? I could get 2 sets of K-horns for that price.

    Wanted: MC225

Specifically, an MC225. I already have an MC240 which I love, and an MC275 would be severe overkill with my Cornscalas. Hell, there is more than enough power from the Mc240 and the gain is at about the 9 o'clock position.

    Wanted: MC225

Casually looking for an MC225, clean and in good shape. If your looking to sell one. Ping me. Not in a hurry to buy, just waiting for an opportunity. Thanks!
  18. Very likely the case... IMO I'm not sure I would buy a pair in that range without them...
  19. I'd say 1800 at most. Makes me wonder where the laser logos are.
  20. Idk about this. Seems scammy. If someone ends up getting all of that for that price it would be awesome. Probably something we aren't seeing here. Gonna have flood damage or covered in smoke soot or something.
