  1. The grills on my LS were also held on with velcro... I used a guitar pick (heavy) to go between the edge of the grill and cabinet. Pry loose. The grill shouldn't break. That's a steal at that price. Welcome to the forums.
  2. That's pretty nice. I have no real idea on art pricing. Did you get this or still deciding. I've seen some local paintings (Chattanooga) that I thought were stupid for what they were. This looks to be a whole other level.
  3. Of course you would use a 'chuck' roast.
  4. He had posted a wonderful story about his daughter on the blog he had. I didn't know she had passed away. It truly made me weep. He and his wife eventually split up after the daughters passing. I can only imagine the pain they went though. Dave was crazy, smart, well read. I never got to one of the Klipsch pilgrimages to meet him. I know it would have been fun.
  5. It's not a brickwall cutoff... perhaps you've never actually heard some pulled out from the corners to comment accurately on how they sound. Then again, that would be your opinion.
  6. I had a pair of Welborne 2a3 Moondogs. They were superlative amps. Kinda wish I had kept them, but they are gone and so is the money.
  7. I had a lovely pair of 2a3 monoblocks, which produced some of the best sound out of my La Scalas.
  8. Here is a schematic for parallel 6c33 tubes. A single channel with 3 tube... I don't know if it's for audio or heating your house.
  9. This is a few years old, but really nice as an instrumental duet. Added the clip with a real duet first.
  10. Currently getting through The Story of a Soul, the autobiography of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux.
  11. $500 to buy... How many thousand to dismantle, move and reinstall?
  12. Mark, I'm still enjoying my Merlin. I've not got the nerve to change from the 6DJ8 to the 6H30. It works great with the Duke.
  13. Weird... the New Years Eve Nashville Big Bash on CBS has Lynyrd Skynyrd performing.
  14. If I lived next door we would be fine and I'm 74. 🤣
  15. Thanks to Josh for showing me this. I've loved Paul Brady's music and songs for years. This guitar style is hard enough, but he sings right along with it, too.
  16. Thanks for the info. I wouldn't want to make a prediction either way.
  17. I kinda went into dark place for a few months... I would totally black out/fall asleep, even while driving.
  18. That morning, I was sitting in the bedroom, reading a couple of emails and cards that friends had sent. I read some prayers out loud, and told her that we would miss her, but we would all be ok and it was alright for her to go. About that time, the hospice nurse pulled up the driveway, and I told Barbara that I needed to go let her in. She was bringing a morphine pump, as the capsules were too hard for her to swallow. I went out to the kitchen and let the nurse in. She showed me how the pump would work, and then headed down the hall to the bedroom. She was gone when we got into the room. The nurse said "I think our angel has flown away." Anna Grace came with one of her roommates, and we all sat around the table telling stories and drinking the second bottle wine that @fini had sent us from California. That night I fired up the ST70 and Juicy Music Merlin and listened to her favorite music. I'll be forever grateful to the forum members who bought the refurbed Merlin from Mark and sent to us to enjoy the music together while we could. I think of Barbara and you all every time I fire it up.
  19. Eminence has some of their drivers made in China.
