  1. I can tell you the LP is also spectacular. Fantastic soundstaging. My tiny music room turns into Massey Hall.
  2. If you really have interest in a HH Scott, there is a HH Scott 222c for sale on the forum that has been restored up to original specifications and it appears that he has some room in his price to negotiate (I assume since he states reasonable offers). I have bought items from the seller in the past and the transactions have been executed hassle free. I pulled the first post and a couple of pictures from the link below. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/162713-fs-hh-scott-222c-refurbed-by-nos-valves-75000/
  3. I'm very pleased with the way ST70'S drive my Heresys and Heresy III'S. I can't comment on the other amps you mentioned. I would also consider an H.H. Scott 222 B or C depending on condition though they are integrated amps, they do bring out the best in Heresys. Cheers
  4. Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on a superb pair of loudspeakers.
  5. "Madness is the first sign of dandruff" - Dr. Winston O'Boogie.
  6. Heresys * LaScalas Cornwalls *Sentimental favorite. They were the first pair of good speakers I ever bought. Worked long and hard to get them.
  7. Absolutely Brilliant! Thanks for posting that recording. I'll be at the Empire Room tonight at 7:30 pm. Can't wait!!!
  8. Living in Washington state where it is legal, I have not seen any measurable difference since legalization.
  9. Welcome! Well done on your selection of loudspeakers! Cheers
  10. Congratulations Steven!! By the pictures, you got a heck of a deal! Good to see another Washington State Klipsch aficionado. Well done!
  11. I just sold my pair of Forte II's to a young man who never listened to 2 channel Hi-Fi. He then bought an integrated amp with a phono stage, and a pro-ject turntable. I'm thrilled I converted a youngster, but I kick myself for selling the forte II's.
  12. As we used to say back in my Navy Dive Locker days, Hoo Yaaa!!
  13. Seven, I made the switch to tubes not to long ago. I'm driving my LaScalas and Heresy III'S with two refurbished ST-70's, and I couldn't be anymore pleased. In fact my only regret is that I didn't switch over to tube power earlier. I'm currently driving the amps with matched Mullard EL-34 tubes and they rock!
  14. Shwinn Stingray, candy apple green, banana seat, and a sissy bar. If you really want to impress her use a cloths pin to clip a playing card to slap the spokes on the front wheel!!! That's a ride.
  15. I too was saddened to read of his passing. I was a huge Ten Years After fan. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to go back stage and meet him when he was touring Rocket Fuel. He was very kind to this stoned long haired hippie. Rather soft spoken, and generous with his time.
  16. Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you made a great score. There is a lot of great info on this site. Cheers!
  17. Woodstock. Won an Oscar for best documentary feature. I've seen it countless times and it still entertains.
  18. Though not a rocker, a great talent none the less, Marvin Gaye, shot by his own father.
  19. Welcome UKNorton, Congratulations on your CW III's! I've got a UK connection, I'm married to a Devon girl! Don't fret about your CW III'S, You're delighted, and that's all that matters. They are a great loudspeaker! Enjoy them. Cheers
  20. Congrats Richieb! I had the same experience 5 years ago. Yes, photos would be cool. Cheers!
  21. I just recently read that more and more AM stations are shutting down. Shame, really. I pick up a station out of Seattle, KIXI 880 on the dial. It has a retro format. I enjoy it. Reminds me of the kitchen radio my mother would have on in the early '60's. As a kid I would love to lay in bed in the dark with my transistor radio and pull in stations from far away places.
  22. Nothing like a wee drop of the dew...or three, while spinning Lp's over in the Right This Minute thread.
  23. Mine, I was a Junior in High School. Bernadette...she cut my heart in two.
