  1. 1- La Scala. Like the horn loaded bass, although needs a sub. 2-Chorus II. Best mid range to me. Hard to hear bass guitar at times, like the woofer is not sensitive enough. 3- KLF 10. Good speakers, overall. I am thinking about buying Jubilee's, expensive and a little scary !
  2. I was thinking of a store or dealer... wasn't inviting myself over to someone's house... going with walnut... lots of wood in my house... If you mean dealer for an audition of a Khorn, I don't know of any but that doesn't mean they might not exist. If you mean to hear the Jubilee then I'm about 99.999999999999999999999% sure the answer is no since it's not considered a residential speaker. It was originally designed for home use but the company decided to shelve it. Later, they were looking to add something in their cinema line and Roy (co-designer) pulled it out of mothballs, making it a 3-way. He has made it available in black and now in some nicer finishes, to the individual who wants it and doesn't mind putting some energy into acquiring them. About the only way you are going to hear a Jubilee is to visit someone's home. As a side comment, how cool is it that a speaker designed specifically for the home is good enough for commercial use?!! Is a 21 foot wide, by 14 foot deep living room big enough for 2 way Jubes ? I only see the 3 way Jubes available, how does one purchase the 2 way and find out the cost ? Thanks...
  3. Life, it ain't over til it's over... I'll still be cranking the rock when I'm 70 ! There is still a strong market for older rock bands, why not ? If it's not your thing, don't go see them... Rock Rock, til you drop !!!
  4. I was driving on the freeway on ramp in Roseburg that morning, when a sheriffs car sped up behind me lights and siren on. I thought he was pulling me over, I put my turn signal on and started to pull over. He flew past me, heading north. I arrived at my destination fifteen minutes later and was told about the shooting. An hour later I drove back by the College and seen all the emergency vehicles and a helicopter, then it really hit home. So sad...( and senseless ) There are lots of forum's out there, to discuss every issue. This is a Klipsch forum, about speakers, music, and audio equipment. I hope it stays that way.
  5. I took a "pill" in the 70's. Made it worse, got into music even more. Good times. It was not FDA approved. I don't recommend that now, though... Now it's a couple of micro brews, and the volume heads north.
  6. I like the "coolness" factor, of having Jubilee, Jubescala, and LaScala , all together... That's gotta make you smile, every time you walk into the living room.
  7. Conditioning. They still react with enlightenment when exposed to high quality audio. Some even imprint enough to begin to expect more. It will change. Storage space as basically cheap enough to where it is no longer an issue and we aren't too far away from adequate bandwidth to the point the compression becomes unnecessary. Do I expect some sort of reactionary new world of everyone into high end audio? Of course not...but I do foresee a time when it will at least return to the levels of the 60s and 70s where far more aspire to it and others recognize it. Dave It was the great musical artists of the 60's and 70's that got most of us into music, and high end audio. I don't see this repeating. It would take a new music revolution to get youngsters into music, like we did back in the day...
  8. Those mid horns and boxes, are beautiful ! I'm jealous...
  9. I'd have to pick, Paul. Perfect soft rock voice. He had the pleasant, happy go lucky charisma. His songs were light hearted, radio friendly, and catchy. Poor Ringo ? He has to be the luckiest guy on earth, probably live forever , too...Lol
  10. With Tractrix horns, the Khorn tophat could be made smaller. The tophat section could be adjustable , and aimed, to fit any listening area while leaving the bass bins in the corners... I would love to have those Khorns, and I would be selling my LaScala's !
  11. That's just awesome ! My speakers are the most important things in my house, since my puppies have passed... Like a family heirloom. Are we normal, or is everyone else, not ? I'm in total agreement with, Schu...
  12. They sound, great. Not consecutive, ones a 77, and the other is a 78. Which leads me to believe, they did not come the factory this way. I moved into a smaller house, with a lot more furniture, carpet, dampening items. The LS's, have picked up a substantial amount of bass... Yeah !
  13. I did it ! The price was lowered to $1150, so I bought them. Just have to pick them up. Of course, it didn't happen ( until there are pictures ) Give me time, It'll happen. This is a sickness, and there is no cure !!! ( til I go deaf )
  14. Mach 5 , is warming up now. I'm trying...Waiting for a reply from seller. They are on CL, for 1200, obo. We'll see what happens
  15. http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/fsUAAOSwBLlVBhWj/s-l1600.jpg What do you guys, think ? Never seen them covered like this. They are fairly close, and reasonably priced !
  16. Hey Eddie, and Steely Dan fans. Listen to this " two against nature " DVD. The live concert sound is terrific ! Horns, piano, drums, background singers, awesome. Especially in 5.1 surround sound.
  17. I would love to upgrade my LS 1's into the 510-K69 combo ! Someone make an easily installed , kit... Please...
  18. I think Klipsch should improve the Heritage line. New midrange horns and tweeters, X-overs, who wouldn't want new K-horns, La Scala's, or Cornwalls ??? C'mon man, feed your hungry base of fanatics, we're starving here...
  19. Who cares ? Zepp turned all their influences into monster songs. Kudos !!!
  20. I would love it tromprof... Anybody driving through Reno ??? LOL Anybody ever use u-ship , from the tv show shipping wars ??? Just curious...

    What I Got Today!

Don't feel bad. When I was in the military I got the nickname " 2 Beer Pete " Got drunk on 2 but, could drink twenty !!!
  22. Would be willing to trade them for La Scala's...btw. Obviously with some cash considerations, depending on condition.
  23. I will keep them forever for a paltry 4-600 bucks. I sold two pair of klf 10's for $550 and $500 respectively. You have to be patient, the perfect buyer will come along and purchase them. If not, I'm on my way to a good collection...
  24. Doesn't someone want my baby's ??? I know the price is at the higher end for these, but reasonable. What do you think ???
