One of the best memories I have are building these. along with a ton of revell funny cars and dragsters. Snake vs Mongoose was all the rage.

Yeah...I almost went that way but the bass.......I wonder if subs would work well with open baffle designs? Maybe even better? Mine do. ..... Sorry for the thread jack Breck.

They get a lot deeper if you remove the feet and put the cabinet directly on the floor.

So your saying do a impedance sweep and then adjust the ports until both humps in the sweep are the same height.

Sounds more like room or positioning issues than the speaker itself. Or amplifier choices.

I had the problem for years too with my front mains, running both runs of wire down the same side of the room seemed to cure it.

We used that finish restorer on an old blackened piano once, it turned out to be a beautiful cherry looking finish. just a thought.

Bottoms up. Jim, I picked up my "audiophile-grade equipment risers" at the hardware store. They are 3/4" black PVC (Marlex, IIRC) couplings. From what I gather, they're typically used for irrigation or large-scale aquarium installs. PVCcoupler.JPG i use either cork bottle stoppers or cork coffee mug coasters from Ikea. I use cut up old Mouse pads.

I have an epson which I have had for just over a year, it's kinda already on the fritz, I but it's cool because I got a brand new Ben Q 1070 just waiting in the box. I sit about 18' from the wall I shoot it on and the only way to make the picture smaller is to move the projector forward, It's zoomed all the way down. My Sanyo z5 didn't have that problem.

Paypal did that to me when I sold my altec 604's until I provided them with a bank account routing number they wouldn't give me my money. Needless to say I closed out the paypal account immediately when I got my money and will never deal with them again.

I built some open bafles that I'm happier with. I did redo these cabinets so they're solid. But I didn't redo the crossovers.
