  1. Yes, great movie, one of my favorites. It has quite a few of my favorite actors…Oldman, Reno, Aiello. Have you ever seen Reno in a movie called the Big Blue?
  2. There is a resurgence of drive in theaters around here, about 6 reconditioned ones have opened up in the last 5-6 years. I have not been to a drive in theater in decades, but I have a feeling the sound is the last item on their list to be updated. I think a couple of them do not even have any portable speakers, you must use your vehicles sound system.
  3. James did an amazing job of carrying his team, but Jordan is still the GOAT
  4. Is this the song about driving a chevy to levie? yes it is….it refers to the plane crash that Buddy Holley died in
  5. GSW just had a 18 point turnaround. James has the weight of the whole city on his shoulders.
  6. Thanks for all the info Larry, you seem very knowledgeable. I've always been a fan of the story of Beethoven, but have only heard the 5th and 9th. Im on a mission to obtain some earlier works, maybe I'll get all the odd numbered symphonies first.
  7. This is the lineup for the show in January at The Palladium MOZART- “Der Hölle Rache” from Die Zauberflöte BEETHOVEN- Symphony No. 5 STRAVINSKY- The Rite of Spring
  8. Congratulations! The Ninth may be the greatest symphony ever, but it's also a challenging work to grasp. Still, you'll know after each of the four movements that you have heard a gigantic work of exceptional experience. Any Beethoven work, especially with an odd-numbered symphony (I can do more detail if you want), will be well worth hearing and seeing. Thank you, it was spectacular. The sound was wonderful, the venue was pristine. I was amazed at the timing and how well the musicians were all in synch. It really was impressive watching world class musicians playing this powerful symphony. The 150 person choir made a huge impact in the 4th movement. The 4 vocal soloist in front were amazing also. I did notice one male vocalist, while sitting, he would close his eyes and had a slight smile on his face, probably grinning from the sound coming from all around him. I didn't know a human's voice could project such depth of highs and lows, and with such volume! This was my first professional symphony, and I enjoyed it a lot. There is another symphony of Beethoven's fifth in a few months, I will be there. I am also curious about your mention of odd numbered symphonies by Beethoven.
  9. Bobdog, I'm with Jim….those look spectacular!
  10. Yea it's amazing the rapid progress the E-bikes are making. The batteries are getting much better, and much smaller. Soon, I predict an explosion of E-bike sales!
  11. Jeff, I don't know what you mean by Cornwall vault? Thx. The vaults are specifically designed shipping boxes for Cornwalls. With your 2k price search, I would think La Scalas or even Khorns could be found. You need the help of Opusk2k9, a member here who is "The Man" when it comes to Klipsch speaker acquirements! Good luck.
  12. I will be at Carmel Indiana's Palladium Center Sunday night for Beethoven's Ninth, I've never been to a symphony. I've always wanted to hear the Ninth, but I also want to see this performing arts center, the Palladium. It's supposed to be one of the best acoustic venues on the planet. I can't wait
  13. It's always nice to find a "nice pair"!!!
  14. Wow, this day is filled with birthdays. I hope everyone has a spectacular day….WOOHOO
  15. There was a lot of testimony today from the prosecution. A sad story was told by a local police officer who heard the blast, was on the scene instantly. He tried to get Dion out of the burning house, even made eye contact with Dion, but the flames were too intense.
  16. Album sales just went up…….PERKY
  17. I'm sorry about the crappy cell phone pic…
  18. I hope the "we just wanted to start a small fire to collect the insurance money" argument gets the attention it deserves. Every time they show the brothers they look a little more defeated and aged.
  19. Even though the prosecutor called the jury interview process "disastrous" they did finally approve a complete jury and the opening statements were today. The trial is in South Bend, about 140 miles away. The prosecution has 100s of witnesses.
  20. Always wanted a Shoei but the Arai helmets just fit me better. Picked up a Schuberth modular helmet last year and it's the most comfortable helmet I've ever owned and especially quiet. Had reservations about a modular but according to everything I read, the Schuberth is just as strong as a rigid full face. The internal sun visor is really slick. German. If a Schuberth is good enough for Michael Schumacher, it has to be good. I like that tinted visor idea, very nice.
