  1. I like your idea and I agree, some doowop might have chilled everyone out and created a totally different vibe. The French would've ran from the doowop!
  2. I'll bet if you listened to them, that might make your decision. Good luck.
  3. They are awesome speakers….glws.
  4. Is it normal around here to advertise another speaker deal in someone else's thread? Dep14, very nice speakers, would you consider separating your speakers, selling just the center?
  5. Woa! $1250! Maybe half of that.
  6. It's a shame that this young girl will not even learn a lesson from all this, a terrible attitude.
  7. I hear ya, I make some noise on a guitar, but that's about it. Good luck with your sale.
  8. I'll be the popcorn technician!
  9. But, don't they have slightly higher bass distortion (Frequency Modulation) than speakers with horn loaded bass, such as Jubs, some Pros (the ones with horn loaded bass), and, perhaps, Khorns and La Scalas? exactly but Ceptormans gonna throw his out if we dont give palladiums a good rating Haha, I doubt if Ill be throwing them out, they sound spectacular to me, and look pretty awesome!
  10. That's good to know. I am about a complete newb when it comes to high end audio, but did receive these P38s as a gift from a local Klipsch engineer that I did a lot of work on his house a couple years ago. I still owe him a favor or two.
  11. Yeah, the Pro stuff is the only thing that outplays the Heritage line, since this is where all the Horn improvements have been made. But you gotta have a big room or a very understanding lady in your life (or just visitors rather than residents). Where would the Palladium series fit in? I overlooked the Palladium Series, maybe because they're relatively rare. Without having heard Palladium speakers, and based only on what I've read, I'd say they'd go between stock Heritage and Pro Theater. That's for sound quality. As for good looks, Palladiums are pretty hard to beat. Even though my experience with the Heritage line is limited, especially the modded ones, I would think the Palladiums go between the modded Heritage and Pro Theater.
  12. I hear you, all the stuff I drool over would've just got purchased if it wasn't for sammy.
  13. WOW….very nice. I like the chain gate.
  14. Does your current avr have pre-outs? If so, connect an amp to that.
  15. Those speakers look very nice, like the limestone also!
  16. That's a bummer. Can you at least leave him bad feedback? It seems like everyone is a conman these days.
  17. I assume you bought these used? Did they sound ok when you auditioned them? Any chance someone modded the xo or had the speakers open?
  18. I'm sorry to break this to you but this community is not good at helping you control your urges. Shoot.....we are more like enablers and tempters than helpers. What are you waiting for....bust em open! Haha. That's what I say also. I don't think I could restrain myself, I would have to at least peek inside the box.
  19. Nice project AK, your attention to detail is excellent. I am following your progress for info to do the same some day….thanks.
  20. Does anyone else think it's funny the avr shuts down and blames it on the speaker wire?
  21. HOLY HECK!!! Those look larger than your tv in that pic. Congrats man, I can feel them from here!!!
  22. Very cool! It sounds like you did well. I've been to Putnam probably 24 times with Nesba and STT, the WERA and Putnam split was before my time, same with IRP. I've been to the AMA races at Mid Ohio, but never raced there. I like Grattan a lot, especially counter clockwise, WERA's May race there is backwards. Been to Gingerman, Barber and Rd Atlanta. You're right, the money aspect is keeping me from the track. I got married two years ago, and adopted two girls. I love my life, but I do miss the buzz you get when grid ding up. My racing friend is good friends with Colin, he's at COTA now, and spent last week and his Bootcamp. I guess about 10 GP racers went to the Bootcamp last week also. My buddy was on Colin's pit crew when he raced the Baja 1000 last year. Colin flew into our little town via Army helicopter at last year's Indy race, he just an average guy that's very approachable. Here are a few pics with Colin at my friend's farm. He flew us to the race in the copter, he likes guns and is a big Wounded Warrier fan.
  23. So, you haven't unpacked your RF7lls yet? You have more restraint than me, I would have to dive into those beauties. They are like pieces of exquisite furniture. I actually took the day off when I picked up my new speakers!
