  1. Yes you have a good point there. It actually is a lot of fun the try out different parts, speakers, electronics and various combinations of the components and settings. I also enjoy reading about all of the members experiences and opinions, and applying some of the good advice from the Klipsch forum.
  2. A beginner should try to start with the best speaker they might ever wish for, and save themselves all the trading up hassles.
  3. Those look good. Whichever brand you choose, make sure you get enough wire length, with an extra foot or two.
  4. I don't read Facebook news or watch TV news. I do go to a lot of live music events and also visit the great outdoors and National Parks. The world is a very beautiful place. I am glad that you are concerned with the state of affairs of our civilization and hope you can influence society in a positive way.
  5. No, but pictures of them look good. They also look expensive. If you like them and how they will enhance the appearance of your new stereo system, put them on your wish list.
  6. Someone can change our perception of the world we read about with a few keystrokes. That is power.
  7. Most speaker wire will be good for decades. If the insulation degrades and cracks, or if the insulation causes a chemical reaction with the wire, turning the copper wire green, then it should be replaced.
  8. I have Speakon connectors on some of my subwoofers. It would be nice if all my speaker wire connectors were Speakon, but almost all my Klipsch speakers have banana jacks and all my home audio receivers and power amplifiers have banana jacks. I use banana plugs for those connections.
  9. I have not heard one, but have been interested in it and the 760NEOBePB for a while.
  10. There were different batches of wire. Some were good, but many had the problem as described by Deang.
  11. I have used this Pioneer SC-LX901 with one of my systems for several months. It sounds good and the cabinet is very cool during operation. I did post this picture once before, but don't see that Class D thread on my display, so I am sharing it here. .
  12. Thanks. Now I am in the process of cleaning and organizing the rest of the garage.
  13. Did I miss the description of your present and/or future midrange and tweeter?
  14. Does anyone have an opinion about rotating 90 degrees the K-402 horn so that it sits on its narrower side?
  15. Yes I have cavities under my Klipschorns, because I wanted the tweeters to be at ear level while standing.
  16. All these years and I never noticed that about the "k" on my speakers badges. Now since you point that out, it is so obvious.
  17. Viewing pictures of many installations, I see that most home bass traps are not thick enough to be effective.
  18. When looking at your pictures, I thought the angled top hat position would be good for listening while standing, like at a party.
  19. How did they sound with the top hats turned on their sides, compared to the normal position?
  20. As I read the article, it looks like Klipsch Group, Inc. filed a lawsuit against ePro E-Commerce Ltd. for counterfeiting Klipsch products. Then ePro destroyed or hid documents, causing extra legal fees incurred by Klipsch Group, Inc. The court judgement in the article requires ePro to pay the large legal fees caused by ePro interfering with the discovery process of the original lawsuit.
  21. A movie about Queen should be fun to watch. Lot of folks like to sing along whenever a band plays their songs.
  22. There was a long ago forum thread about walnut matching, and I believe the recommendation was for Minwax Gunstock color stain.
  23. The D-405 has an upper frequency limit at 7000 Hz. Your 3 way K-horns probably sound really good already.
  24. Actually, I was attending live music concerts as a kid before getting my first stereo, so it is the loudspeakers and related equipment that allow me to enjoy in my home, the recorded performances of the musicians. It is all tied together and I am glad for ALL the extra-ordinary people who have brought joy into our lives.
