  1. Glad you bumped this by mistake. Love my La Scalas and reading this makes me appreciate them even more. Mark
  2. I'm selling this pair of VRD monoblocks I recently purchased from a forum member. Sounded really nice with my LaScalas, but I need to downsize my collection of equipment. Asking price: $1650.00 Location: Fayetteville, OH (20 miles east of Cincinnati, OH) Pictures: I have the shipping boxes used by Craig of NOSVALVES to ship these to the previous owner. Shipping cost is not included in the asking price. I have either UPS or FedEx available to me at good rates at my office. Insurance is required. PM me if you have questions. Thanks for looking. Mark
  3. Matt, GLWS. Hope they find a good appreciative home. Mark
  4. I'm guessing the demand far outpaced the original 35 pair limit. Mark
  5. Beaters to Keepers!!! I like that. He's the Earl Scheib of La Scalas….(better than Earl) Hmm... Maybe, "Uh oh, better get Matthews", might be more modern. All in good fun, Matt. Are these the Scalas you used the crossovers and K55's in? Mark
  6. Matt, You're an inspiration. Can't believe how fast you get them from beaters to keepers. Keep up the good work. Mark
  7. Very, Very, Nice Matt!!!!! Next time you find something to refurbish let me know. I could use a nice looking set in my family room. Mark
  8. Mustang Guy and I were discussing that today at his Speaker Ranch. What is it you heard before, and what is it you hear after moving the tweets? The sound stage is taller in the room and the slight smearing of sound where the mid and high driver overlap is gone. It's not just moving them up but moving them back to align with the mid driver. Mark
  9. Bruce, Best of luck with your build. I knew there was a reason behind putting my horns for sale. After seeing the pics above I realized you were the inspiration for the mods I did to my LSIs. Moving the tweeters makes a huge difference. Thanks, Mark
  10. Bruce, I just sent you a PM. Please don't be embarrassed, I'm just trying to help out another Klipsch fan. it's all good. Mark
  11. Bruce,PM me your address and I'll send you the horns. You can pay me when things get back on track for you. No hurry. Mark
  12. I've run emotiva XPA-1L with my La Scala's and Forte II's. Sound is very smooth. I've also ran an emotiva XPA-200 with those speakers it was just OK. Not as clean sounding as the 1L's. Mark
  13. Around $20.00 per the UPS shipping calculator. I'd ship from work as we get great rates from UPS and FedEx. For example, the shipment I made to Matthews was $5.00 less than the online UPS calculator. If you're interested send me a PM. Thanks, Mark
  14. Pleasure doing business with you Matt. If you're ever in Cincinnati, give me a shout. Mark
