  1. I have the RC62 II running with four RB61 IIs. Sounds great as far as I'm concerned. They all have six inch drivers. I'm certain you will be pleased with the combo.
  2. Very impressive, nice quality camera to boot.
  3. I can't believe that I was unaware of these international shipping outfits. There have been more than a few times I have wanted to purchase from the States only to find they don't ship to Canada. These places provide you with a US shipping address and then they forward your purchase on. Has anyone had experience with any of these companies? There seems to be a number of them and I'm looking for one that is highly regarded. Thanks, Thom
  4. I don't think you can go wrong with Marantz.
  5. Has anyone used one of these with an avr? My Marantz SR 5008 is the heart of my system; I've come across an iFI Tube Buffer ad in Stereophile and have been checking them out online. I'm curious if anyone has put one between their CD player and AVR for two channel listening sessions.

    Chag Sameach

Although I am sure there are very few of us, I extend well wishes to all the Jewish Klipsch lovers as we prepare to celebrate Passover. I spent this evening kashering the kitchen (after a week of cleaning everything else in the house). Then went right to town on my traditional chicken stock for matzo ball soup to be served at tomorrow night's seder. It's getting late but now everything is done and my prep for tomorrow is behind me. Going to chill and drink the last bottle of liquid containing chametz (beer), and listen to " Brother Smote the Water" by the Klezmatics with Joshua Nelson. Chag Sameach to one and all! To all my Christian friends, may G-d be with you and yours and have a great weekend.

    RIP Prince

He also wrote Manic Monday for the Bangles amongst many other tunes for a slew of musicians. And to quote the late great David Bowie, "boy could he play guitar"
  8. Another great comparison review in the same day. I'm heading down to Ottawa next week, with any luck I can find a place to actually hear an RF7 II.
  9. What a great review, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It is not too often you get one that is is head to head to head like this. With any luck perhaps we will see of them.
  10. I wanted a Haven model from Standout Designs. They were pricey and the shipping was crazy so a cabinet maker I chum around with built me a replica. Turned out perfect.
  11. In an apartment that is more than adequate. I live in a high rise apartment style condo- bass realities need to be a factor.
  12. Wow, that looks fantastic, kudos. I have started a search for Palladiums here in Canada.
  13. I have lusted after a pair of P17-Bs for a while now although I'm still a bit torn over some of the Heritage as well. All about space. Stereophile rated them as class A RF.
  14. Diana Krall works for me as well as Debbie Harry and Chrissy Hynde.
  15. Best comment of the day.
  16. The Canadian dollar is commodity based, primarily on the value of oil and gas. With current crude prices expecting to continue, assuming the status quo, plan for another 18 months of no P-17b's. The value of rocks and logs is also not great. Sad but true.
  17. This is interesting, I would like a pair of P-17bs so bad I can taste them. If the price gets within my budget and the Canadian Snow Peso bounces back I'm all over a pair.
  18. Out on the lake for the spring Snow King festival. This vehicle has been and will remain our daily driver for many years to come - only have 53k on it.
  19. A shot out on the Ingraham Trail with my wife mid May.
  20. Like anything, your choice of vehicle should suit your needs. We have been driving an 08 Sahara Wrangler (pure stock), since we bought it in 08. Perfect for our location and lifestyle. I have found (up here anyway), it is the Sahara not the Rubicon version that guys are always seeking. Particularly if they are planning on building them up.
  21. I love the Interface Ds. Near impossible to find. I did find out the new Ohms are redesigned and no longer use foam. 88db at 2.8v, so I would imagine they would suck some serious juice. Do you recall what they sounded like? I would imagine a pretty good sound-stage but have no idea as to clarity and such.
  22. Anyone familiar with Ohm Walsh speakers? For some reason or another they keep popping up on my Facebook. I have never seen or heard one (I don't know if they were even sold in Canada). Like Klipsch, they seem to have have all their products built around an in-house concept (although radically different of course), and have been around for some time. There seems to be a dearth of reviews. Just curious as their design is almost the anti-Klipsch in concept. I gotta get out more...
