Hi Guys My buddy bought my RF7II and asked which subwoofer would best fit for around $500. Its mostly for HT & some music. I have a 10" Velodyne which he likes but too expensive. It sure is....thanks Bill. Don't be fooled by 20Wpch...Luxman quotes class A operation only. It's a very powerful amplifier. (Switches to A/B after 20 watts - think max of 60-70Wpch) When I first started looking at amplifiers I had the same mind set...more watts is better. I had to make the exact same decision this week. RF7II or Forteiii....I don't like the black front of the RF7iii so didn't consider them. I have auditioned RF7ii and they sound great but I still went ahead and ordered the Forteiii without auditioning them. There's so much positive reviews of both I figured I'll go for the looks I prefer in 2Ch audio setup. I might still get a pair of RF7II because I know how great they sound & for the price you can get them for right now. Sounds like you are leaning towards Forteiii so I would say go for it! Interested...could you explain to me if this would be a worthwhile upgrade from my Marantz SR7005 7.2 HT receiver. I think its 110W per channel class D. I heard that a separate power amp on my HT would make a huge difference. So 110 receiver watts vs 140 power amp watts per channel.
